Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Perplexity 5

Reproach

Mat 5:10-12 KJV  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  (11)  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  (12)  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Mat 5:11 KJV  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Luk 21:25-28 KJV  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  (26)  Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  (27)  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  (28)  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Rom 15:1-7 KJV  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  (5)  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  (6)  That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (7)  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:3-4 KJV  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

We are taking a journey today that explores the subject of reproach and our “allies” in the world from a biblical perspective. Actually we will be focusing upon 1 ally in particular. The nation of Israel to be exact. It centers around an article in “The Atlantic” dated 28 October 2014 in which a whitehouse staffer called Benjamin Netanyahu a chicken****. At times we will substitute the word coward for this abusive name. We will explore exactly how this relates to biblical understanding.

Psa 69:1-9 KJV  To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.  (2)  I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.  (3)  I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.  (4)  They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.  (5)  O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.  (6)  Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.  (7)  Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.  (8)  I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.  (9)  For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

If we are true Christians then we accept both Testaments of biblical scripture. After all was it not the OT (Old Testament) that predicted Jesus Christ. We also note over and over again in our journeys that the coming of  Jesus Christ revolves around the nation of Israel reborn 14 May 1948. We will not develop the fig tree today as we have in many other journeys. Let’s just say checkout Jeremiah 24 for starters.

Mat 24:29-36 KJV  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  (30)  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  (31)  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  (32)  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:  (33)  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.  (34) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.  (35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.  (36)  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

2Co 12:1-10 KJV  It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.  (2)  I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.  (3)  And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)  (4)  How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.  (5)  Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.  (6)  For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.  (7)  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.  (8)  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  (9)  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  (10)  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproachesG5196, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

G5196
ὕβρις
hubris
hoo'-bris
From G5228; insolence (as over bearing), that is, insult, injury: - harm, hurt, reproach.

The whole reason for including the subject of reproach with the subject of perplexity is because of the recent report out of The Atlantic. The report refers to a whitehouse staffer who called Benjamin Netanyahu a chicken ****. It takes a real big man or woman to say something like that behind someone’s back. So who really is the chicken**** here?  Most of this revolves around the issue that Israel or Netanyahu continues to build settlements upon the God given land of Israel. As we have pointed out in the politically and prophetically incorrect study settlements have been a problem for every American president since LBJ (Lyndon Banes Johnson). The real subject here is that Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible and protective enough of his own people that he will not take a ridiculous deal for peace. Even while all the world especially including the current U.S. government tries to shrink God’s deed to Israel.

We spend a great deal of time exploring the actual size of Israel that God laid out. However in doing so we realize how wrong the world is when trying to distribute God’s land. This includes the U.S. when we reference things like this. Benjamin Netanyahu regardless of how you view his religious makeup understands what God’s borders are for the people of Israel. He is the only world leader with the initiative to recognize this as well. If the world is so concerned about the Palestinian people’s plight they should have noticed something. This particular something being where did all the money Arafat received go to. It went to buying weapons while his people starved with absolutely no threat from Israel. There are plenty of Arab countries with plenty of room to take on the Palestinian population. However these nations would rather use the people of Gaza and West Bank as political pawns blaming Israel for their poverty.

Zec 12:1-10 KJV  The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.  (2)  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.  (3)  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.  (4)  In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.  (5)  And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.  (6)  In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.  (7)  The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.  (8)  In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.  (9)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.  (10)  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec 12:2 KJV  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Zec 14:1-4 KJV  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.  (2)  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.  (3)  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.  (4)  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Act 1:1-12 KJV  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,  (2)  Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:  (3)  To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:  (4)  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.  (5)  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.  (6)  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?  (7)  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.  (8)  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (9)  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  (10)  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;  (11)  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.  (12)  Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

Eze 36:1-12 KJV  Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:  (2)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:  (3)  Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:  (4)  Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;  (5)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.  (6)  Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:  (7)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.  (8)  But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.  (9)  For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:  (10)  And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:  (11)  And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  (12)  Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.

Eze 36:3 KJV  Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

Psa 35:25 KJV  Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

What does God think about what our leaders are doing to Israel.

Isa 16:6 KJV  We have heard of the prideH1347 of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

H1347
גּאון
gâ'ôn
gaw-ohn'
From H1342; the same as H1346: - arrogancy, excellency (-lent), majesty, pomp, pride, proud, swelling.

H1342
גּאה
gâ'âh
gaw-aw'
A primitive root; to mount up; hence in general to rise, (figuratively) be majestic: - gloriously, grow up, increase, be risen, triumph.

Of course we are not the nation of Moab but in the spirit of things the U.S. is beginning to act just like Israel’s “neighbors” hurling these types of insults and trying to control God’s purposes for His land.

Just like when Jesus teaches the beatitudes when we are being insulted for our belief it is a spiritual likening to the treatment of the nation of Israel. Eventually the world will be consumed with hate for the Christians who stick to the word. Just as the world will be consumed with hatred for Israel. The reason we word it like so is because there are going to be many elements of the “church” involved in this consumption that are already not sticking to the word. Just like the entire world’s attention will be focused on the smallest among nations Israel.

The facts are simply this
Someone around the president (U.S.) called Benjamin Netanyahu a chicken****. Well Let’s look at this in sincerity for a few moments.

Do (we will substitute the word cowards for chicken****)cowards stand up at the UN and call the situation with Iran exactly what it is.

Whoever the coward at the whitehouse is should mention our president refuses to stand tough on Iran.

Left people to fight for their lives and die in Benghazi

Constantly announces to the world what we are not willing to do while people are beheading our citizens overseas.

Refuses to call the Ft Hood shootings, the beheading in Oklahoma and even right after the Canadian Prime Minister announced the shooting in Ottawa as terrorism the coward at the whitehouse should mention that our president still refused to use the word terrorism apparently thinking they were going to get a better scoop than the Canadian Prime Minister had.

The coward at the whitehouse might want to mention our president is to chicken**** to have our own troops guard our own borders. Something to consider we feel around here when our children are suffering from odd viruses and so forth this particular school year.

Something to consider also when dealing with Isis and Ebola

The slogan the American people do not have the stomach for ground operations to kill people beheading our citizens as well as all others from around the world should best be put to another question.

Ask our military people which they would rather be doing. Killing those beheading our citizens at home and abroad or chasing ebola patients around and risking hack attacks on our troops. Our list could go on and on.

Not to mention we have a Chinese fighter jet  buzzing our own in addition a Russian jet approached one of our ships and to my knowledge in honesty not one single word came out of our whitehouse.

Things that cowards don’t do

Stand up as Netanyahu did at the UN and call the situation with Iran for what it is and even using cartoon like illustrations that should even be able to be understood by the no common sense people at the whitehouse.

The report in the Atlantic also called Netanyahu a coward concerning the pre emptive strike Israel has talked of in the past concerning Iran. When truth be known the cowards at the whitehouse wanted Israel to refrain from doing so all the way the through the situation and Israel most likely has not yet because the U.S. is urging them not to.

The times that Netanyahu has had to deal with rockets from north and south and constant cowardly scolding because Netanyahu has the guts to understand what God intended the nation of Israel to look like on a map. The times we might want to add that Israel has blown up Iraq’s nuclear reactor and also another being constructed in Syria. The times they have constantly had to suffer ground losses because of Hamas which people like Nancy Pelosi has been quoted as calling Hamas a humanitarian organization based on the Qatari‘s opinion.

The cowards in the whitehouse would rather have the agenda such as the democratic national committee DNC tried to push forth in the last election. Taking Jesus out of the picture when referencing (if referencing God) and that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

Psa 15:1-5 KJV  A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?  (2)  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.  (3)  He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.  (4)  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.  (5)  He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

1Ti 4:1-16 KJV  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  (2)  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;  (3)  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.  (4)  For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:  (5)  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.  (6)  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.  (7)  But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.  (8)  For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.  (9)  This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.  (10)  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.  (11)  These things command and teach.  (12)  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.  (13)  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.  (14)  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  (15)  Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.  (16)  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Mat 24:7-14 KJV  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  (8)  All these are the beginning of sorrows.  (9)  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.  (10)  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.  (11)  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  (12)  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  (13)
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved
.  (14)  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Psa 102:1-12 KJV  A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.  (2)  Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.  (3)  For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.  (4)  My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.  (5)  By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.  (6)  I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.  (7)  I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.  (8)  Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.  (9)  For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,  (10)  Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.  (11)  My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.  (12)  But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

Psa 89:46-52 KJV  How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?  (47)  Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?  (48)  What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.  (49)  Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?  (50)  Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;  (51)  Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.  (52)  Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

Psa 74:12-23 KJV  For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.  (13)  Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.  (14)  Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.  (15)  Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.  (16)  The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.  (17)  Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.  (18)  Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.  (19)  O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.  (20)  Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.  (21)  O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.  (22)  Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.  (23)  Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.

We should not forget what the Bible teaches us with regard to Jerusalem.

Psa 122:1-9 KJV  A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.  (2)  Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.  (3) Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:  (4)  Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. (5)  For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.  (6)  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.  (7)  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.  (8)  For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.  (9)  Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace.

Isa 9:1-7 KJV  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.  (2)  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.  (3)  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.  (4)  For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.  (5)  For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.  (6)  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  (7)  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

So as we see praying for the peace of Jerusalem is the same as praying for the return of the Prince of Peace. Benjamin Netanyahu may or may not see eye to eye necessarily with concerns of Jesus being Messiah but he does understand what God intended the nation of Israel to look like. In the times we are living in he most certainly is not a coward especially when compared to those of our own.

Zep 2:1-15 KJV  Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;  (2)  Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.  (3)  Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.  (4)  For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.  (5)  Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.  (6)  And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.  (7)  And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.  (8)  I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.  (9)  Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.  (10)  This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.  (11)  The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.  (12)  Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.  (13)  And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.  (14)  And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the cedar work.  (15)  This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

1Pe 4:1-19 KJV  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;  (2)  That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.  (3)  For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:  (4)  Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:  (5)  Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.  (6)  For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.  (7)  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  (8)  And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.  (9)  Use hospitality one to another without grudging.  (10)  As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  (11)  If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  (12)  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  (13)  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  (14)  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  (15)  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.  (16)  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  (17)  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  (18)  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?  (19)  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Mat 5:1-11 KJV  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:  (2)  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,  (3)  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  (4)  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.  (5)  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.  (6)  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.  (7)  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.  (8)  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.  (9)  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.  (10)  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  (11)  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

As always thanks for sharing a word
