Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Isaiah 11:2 The 7 Spirits of ABBA Father The Spirit of Wisdom 2

Isaiah 11:2 The 7 Spirits of ABBA Father
The Spirit of Wisdom 2

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Mat 5:17-20 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  (19)  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (20)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:17 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Rom 15:1-4 KJV  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Prologue

Rev 1:1-3 KJV  The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:  (2)  Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  (3)  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Greeting to the Seven Churches

Rev 1:4-8 KJV  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;  (5)  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  (6)  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.  (7)  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.  (8)  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 3:1 KJV  And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

The Throne in Heaven

Rev 4:1-5 KJV  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.  (2)  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  (3)  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  (4)  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  (5)  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Rev 5:6 KJV  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

Isa 11:1-5 KJV  And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:  (2)  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;  (3)  And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:  (4)  But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.  (5)  And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Isa 11:2 KJV  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Hello again Friends. We will be exploring this verse in particular quite heavily. We are starting our second look into the spirit of wisdom. Last go round we explored the subject of wisdom with regard to our Messiah Lord Yeshua. The same subject again today. After all if Lord Yeshua is not the smartest God in the universe then we are in a lot of trouble. We explored a couple of passages spoken by Lord Yeshua regarding the subject of wisdom.

Mat 11:19 KJV  The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

One thing we did not mention last go round was that wisdom as spoken here with regard to faith / belief. We referenced the Roman Centurion and the woman from Canaan.

Luk 7:6-10 KJV  Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:  (7)  Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.  (8)  For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.  (9)  When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.  (10)  And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman

Mat 15:21-24 KJV  Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.  (22)  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.  (23)  But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.  (24)  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 15:25-28 KJV  Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.  (26)  But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.  (27)  And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.  (28)  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Luk 11:49-52 KJV  Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:  (50)  That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;  (51)  From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.  (52)  Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Luk 11:53-54 KJV  And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:  (54)  Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

We cannot recall at this very moment when we explored a study pertaining to the fear of the Lord. We will be exploring that very spirit within our current journeys now. The Pharisees and the Sadducees had lost their fear of ABBA Father. They certainly were afraid of Lord Yeshua but that was only pertaining to their standing in society not a true fear of ABBA Father to take and judge them His way.

The Wedding at Cana

Joh 2:1-7 KJV  And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:  (2)  And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.  (3)  And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.  (4)  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.  (5)  His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.  (6)  And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.  (7)  Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

Joh 2:8-12 KJV  And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.  (9)  When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,  (10)  And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.  (11)  This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.  (12)  After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

Many people came to believe in Lord Yeshua by watching His miracles being performed. Without taking us too far off course they were as awe struck as you or I might be. They perhaps understood that this benevolent power could also be something to fear. In any event it was credited to their wisdom no doubt. This brings a couple of quick things to mind.

Jesus and Thomas

Joh 20:24-27 KJV  But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.  (25)  The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.  (26)  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  (27)  Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Joh 20:28-29 KJV  And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.  (29)  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesus Heals an Official's Son

Joh 4:46-54 KJV  So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.  (47)  When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.  (48)  Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.  (49)  The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.  (50)  Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.  (51)  And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.  (52)  Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.  (53)  So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.  (54)  This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

Staying in the NT we find among the gifts of the spirit appropriately enough wisdom is there.

Spiritual Gifts

1Co 12:1-3 KJV  Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.  (2)  Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.  (3)  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

1Co 12:4-7 KJV  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  (5)  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  (6)  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  (7)  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

1Co 12:8-11 KJV  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;  (9)  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;  (10)  To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:  (11)  But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

As this is predominately a prophecy ministry we probably should mention things like the body of Lord Yeshua more often. Wisdom is another gift of the spirit that works to fulfill the whole of the body.

We will shift gears for just a moment. We will turn our attention to another apostle for a few moments. That being Stephen. The very nature of the seven men chosen for administration relief to open up avenues for the original 12. None of these men lacked wisdom. As we read

Seven Chosen to Serve

Act 6:1-4 KJV  And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.  (2)  Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.  (3)  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.  (4)  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Act 6:5-7 KJV  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:  (6)  Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.  (7)  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Act 6:8-15 KJV  And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.  (9)  Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.  (10)  And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.  (11)  Then they subornedG5260men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.  (12)  And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,  (13)  And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:  (14)  For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.  (15)  And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.

There are 2 things we want to point out here. The first being that wisdom and knowledge of the scripture was required.

Act 6:3 KJV  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

The other point being look at the lengths the corrupt people were willing to go to in order to get rid of Stephen. The witness Stephen gives demonstrates his incredible wisdom and knowledge of both scripture and history. It also demonstrates a fulfillment of Lord Yeshua’s words which we will explore shortly.

Stephen's Speech

Act 7:1-5 KJV  Then said the high priest, Are these things so?  (2)  And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,  (3)  And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.  (4)  Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.  (5)  And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

Act 7:6-16 KJV  And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.  (7)  And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.  (8)  And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.  (9)  And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,  (10)  And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.  (11)  Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.  (12)  But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.  (13)  And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.  (14)  Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.  (15)  So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,  (16)  And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

Act 7:17-22 KJV  But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,  (18)  Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.  (19)  The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.  (20)  In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:  (21)  And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.  (22)  And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

Act 7:23-28 KJV  And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.  (24)  And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:  (25)  For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.  (26)  And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?  (27)  But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?  (28)  Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?

Act 7:29-34 KJV  Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.  (30)  And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.  (31)  When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,  (32)  Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.  (33)  Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.  (34)  I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

Act 7:35-38 KJV  This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.  (36)  He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.  (37)  This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.  (38)  This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Act 7:39-43 KJV  To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,  (40)  Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.  (41)  And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.  (42)  Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?  (43)  Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

Act 7:44-53 KJV  Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.  (45)  Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;  (46)  Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.  (47)  But Solomon built him an house.  (48)  Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,  (49)  Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?  (50)  Hath not my hand made all these things?  (51)  Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.  (52)  Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:  (53)  Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

The Stoning of Stephen

Act 7:54-60 KJV  When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.  (55)  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,  (56)  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.  (57)  Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,  (58)  And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.  (59)  And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.  (60)  And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

The witness Stephen gave to the world in this case demonstrated his great wisdom. As we referenced earlier his witness has a great deal to with the things Lord Yeshua taught us. They are prophetic words that ring true to us today. In the course of events here we have done studies in places like Psalm 78. This is a Psalm which reminds us not to forget all of the wonderous things ABBA Father has done in the history of the Hebrew people. This is exactly what Stephen is teaching here.

As we referenced earlier Stephen’s wisdom of scripture and history were immense. His witness is also prophetic fulfillment of Lord Yeshua’s own words. It is a prophecy given by Lord Yeshua in the signs of the end of the age. It has to deal with standing before the enemy.

Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution

Luk 21:10-15 KJV  Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:  (11)  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.  (12)  But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.  (13)  And it shall turn to you for a testimony.  (14)  Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:  (15)  For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Luk 21:16-19 KJV  And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.  (17)  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.  (18)  But there shall not an hair of your head perish.  (19)  In your patience possess ye your souls.

Luk 21:15 KJV  For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

We explored rather heavily the depths of faith in the Daniel Extremity journeys. All throughout biblical history ABBA Father placed His people in the right places in most cases to avoid punishments by foreign governments. It happened with Joseph in Egypt, Daniel in Babylon, Stephen and most importantly our Lord and Savior Yeshua. Of course these are not all the instances we could list.

We will close out this journey with a passage from Colossians 3.

Put On the New Self

Col 3:1-11 KJV  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  (2)  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  (3)  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  (4)  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  (5)  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:  (6)  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:  (7)  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.  (8)  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.  (9)  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;  (10)  And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:  (11)  Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Col 3:12-17 KJV  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;  (13)  Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  (14)  And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  (15)  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.  (16)  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  (17)  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Rules for Christian Households

Col 3:18-25 KJV  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.  (19)  Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.  (20)  Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.  (21)  Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.  (22)  Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:  (23)  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;  (24)  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.  (25)  But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-7 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

As always thanks for sharing a word
God Bless

Isaiah 11:2 The 7 Spirits of ABBA Father The Spirit of Wisdom Part 1

Isaiah 11:2 The 7 Spirits of ABBA Father
The Spirit of Wisdom Part 1

Rom 15:4 KJV  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Isa 11:2 KJV  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Hello again friends. We are going to continue with our explorations of Isaiah 11:2. We are starting a new set of journeys concerning wisdom. We are taking each spirit one at a time in order they are provided. In a search the word wisdom came up 234 times. We are obviously not going to be able to completely exhaust this subject. We will be taking a hard look into the subject. A good place to start would be with our Lord and Savior Yeshua and what He tells us. He was certainly no stranger to the word.

Our NT search for the word “wisdom” we got 53 times spread over 50 verses. We can say by this approximately 20% of the total of our search in both testaments. The first time we see in the KJV associated to Lord Yeshua is found in the passage that also includes His birth and circumcision.

The Birth of Jesus Christ

Luk 2:1-7 KJV  And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.  (2)  (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)  (3)  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.  (4)  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)  (5)  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.  (6)  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.  (7)  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Shepherds and the Angels

Luk 2:8-11 KJV  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  (9)  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  (10)  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  (11)  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Luk 2:12-14 KJV  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  (13)  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  (14)  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luk 2:15-21 KJV  And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.  (16)  And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.  (17)  And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.  (18)  And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.  (19)  But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.  (20)  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.  (21)  And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Jesus Presented at the Temple

Luk 2:22-26 KJV  And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;  (23)  (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)  (24)  And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.  (25)  And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.  (26)  And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

It’s possible you may have heard Simeon by the description Simeon the righteous. This is clearly how ABBA Father looked upon him. He was remembered by ABBA Father as to his desire to see the Messiah. He was obviously a man of great understanding. His knowledge of the time he lived in was a rare thing to find. We must remember that the priesthood was corrupted during this history. In a strange irony with our world today the priests were appointed by the government of men as opposed to ABBA Father and His commands.

Luk 2:27-35 KJV  And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,  (28)  Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,  (29)  Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:  (30)  For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,  (31)  Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;  (32)  A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.  (33)  And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.  (34)  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;  (35)  (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Luk 2:36-38 KJV  And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;  (37)  And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.  (38)  And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

The Return to Nazareth

Luk 2:39-40 KJV  And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.  (40)  And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdomG4678: and the grace of God was upon him.

G4678

From G4680; wisdom (higher or lower, worldly or spiritual): - wisdom.
Total KJV occurrences: 51

The Boy Jesus in the Temple

Luk 2:41-45 KJV  Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.  (42)  And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.  (43)  And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.  (44)  But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.  (45)  And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

Luk 2:47-52 KJV  And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.  (48)  And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.  (49)  And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?  (50)  And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.  (51)  And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.  (52)  And Jesus increased in wisdomG4678and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Messengers from John the Baptist

Luk 7:18-21 KJV  And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.  (19)  And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  (20)  When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?  (21)  And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

Luk 7:22-23 KJV  Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.  (23)  And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Luk 7:24-28 KJV  And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?  (25)  But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.  (26)  But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.  (27)  This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.  (28)  For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Luk 7:29-35 KJV  And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.  (30)  But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.  (31)  And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?  (32)  They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.  (33)  For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.  (34)  The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!  (35)  But wisdomG4678is justified of all her children.

We liked John Gills’ Exposition of the Bible for a look at verse 35.

Luke 7:35

But wisdom is justified of all her children. That is, Christ, who is the wisdom of God, and who acted the wise part, in behaving in such a free manner with all sorts of men, and even with publicans and sinners, whereby he became useful to their souls, called them to repentance, converted and saved them: and these are his children, which were given him by the Father; for whose sake he partook of flesh and blood, and whom he redeemed, that they might receive the adoption of children; and to whom, believing in him, he gives power to become the children of God: and these justify him from all such scandalous imputations, and by their lives and conversations show, that the doctrine of Christ is not a licentious one, or leads to libertinism, and indulges men in their carnal sensual lusts and pleasures; but, on the contrary, teaches them to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly: the word "all", is inserted by Luke, which is not in Matthew; signifying, that this is the universal sense and practice of all the real offspring of Christ, the sons of wisdom, who are wise to do good.

A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit

Mat 12:33-37 KJV  Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.  (34)  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  (35)  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  (36)  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  (37)  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The Sign of Jonah

Mat 12:38-40 KJV  Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.  (39)  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:  (40)  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Lord Yeshua gives them something to be looking for but the “masters” of the word still had no idea what He meant. It’s here in this part of the passage that Lord Yeshua references 2 points in biblical history. Those being the time of Jonah and Nineveh as well as the time frame of Solomon. They both have 1 point of reference as Lord Yeshua spells it out.

Mat 12:41-42 KJV  The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.  (42)  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdomG4678of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The subject they both have in common being that when someone came along preaching the word of ABBA Father they listened. The people of Nineveh and the queen of Sheba here referred to as the queen of the south. They listened and because of that simple fact they shall stand in judgment of these folks. Lord Yeshua came looking for faith and was finding it in all the wrong places so to speak. Here the kingdom was standing in front of those who should have seen and understood it. Of course we all know that did not happen. There are 2 predominate words used for the word faith. One that signifies having faith and the other those who do not. Such as the following.

The Faith of a Centurion

Mat 8:5-13 KJV  And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,  (6)  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.  (7)  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.  (8)  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.  (9)  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.  (10)  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.  (11)  And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.  (12)  But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (13)  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

These are the types of people Lord Yeshua refers to when He is talking about wisdom being justified. Faith was the common virtue which preceeded all Lord Yeshua’s miracles. We would suggest that wisdom had to be there first.

Woes to the Pharisees and Lawyers

Luk 11:37-44 KJV  And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.  (38)  And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.  (39)  And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.  (40)  Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?  (41)  But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.  (42)  But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.  (43)  Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.  (44)  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them

Luk 11:45-54 KJV  Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.  (46)  And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.  (47)  Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.  (48)  Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.  (49)  Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:  (50)  That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;  (51)  From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.  (52)  Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.  (53)  And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:  (54)  Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

Luk 11:49 KJV  Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

This of course a prophecy from Lord Yeshua having its roots in the OT. It’s hard to look at a subject like wisdom and not think of the books of wisdom as many refer to them. Proverbs of course being one of these.

The Beginning of Knowledge

Pro 1:1-7 KJV  The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;  (2)  To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;  (3)  To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;  (4)  To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.  (5)  A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:  (6)  To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.  (7)  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The Call of Wisdom

Pro 1:20-23 KJV  Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:  (21)  She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,  (22)  How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?  (23)  Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Pro 1:24-27 KJV  Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;  (25)  But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:  (26)  I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;  (27)  When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

Pro 1:28-33 KJV  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:  (29)  For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:  (30)  They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.  (31)  Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.  (32)  For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.  (33)  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Did you maybe notice how many of the 7 spirits of ABBA Father are contained in this passage? All of them are found. A few other things are also found. We will let those be discovered for yourself at this point. The subject of wisdom is a very profound one. We will try and not stray too much off course. We should also remember from our last get together that during this time period there was not a Comforter available to the people. ABBA Father in the OT saw things in His people that He counted as righteousness.

God's Covenant with Abram

Gen 15:1-6 KJV  After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.  (2)  And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?  (3)  And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.  (4)  And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.  (5)  And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.  (6)  And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Deu 6:24-25 KJV  And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.  (25)  And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

1Ch 12:32 KJV  And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Judgment and Redemption

Isa 59:14-21 KJV  And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.  (15)  Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.  (16)  And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.  (17)  For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.  (18)  According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.  (19)  So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.  (20)  And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.  (21)  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

In verse 19 we read that a standard will be raised against our spiritual enemy Satan. Remember friends we have a Comforter in the Holy Spirit of our champion Lord Yeshua. Lord Yeshua is that spiritual standard.

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

1Co 1:18-24 KJV  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.  (19)  For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.  (20)  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  (21)  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.  (22)  For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  (23)  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;  (24)  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1Co 1:25-31 KJV  Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.  (26)  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  (27)  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  (28)  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:  (29)  That no flesh should glory in his presence.  (30)  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:  (31)  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Proclaiming Christ Crucified

1Co 2:1-5 KJV  And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  (2)  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.  (3)  And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.  (4)  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  (5)  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Wisdom from the Spirit

1Co 2:6-8 KJV  Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:  (7)  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  (8)  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1Co 2:9-11 KJV  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  (10)  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  (11)  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Co 2:12-16 KJV  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  (13)  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  (14)  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  (15)  But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  (16)  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Well friends there we have it. We do have our intercessor and Comforter Lord Yeshua. If you do not know your Savior or are struggling with the things we see going on in the world right now remember the following from our Lord and Savior Yeshua/ Jesus.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25-30 KJV  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  (26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  (28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  (29)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  (30)  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
