Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Mat 24:25 KJV  Behold, I have told you before. Revisiting Zechariah 12-14 Zechariah 14:1-3

Mat 24:25 KJV Behold, I have told you before.
Revisiting Zechariah 12-14
Zechariah 14:1-3

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Mat 5:17-20 KJV Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  (19)  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (20)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:17 KJV Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The Example of Christ

Rom 15:1-7 KJV  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  (5)  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  (6)  That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (7)  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:4 KJV  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hello again friends. We have been revisiting Zechariah’s last 3 chapters. We have been doing so because of the atrocities that took place in Israel. How chapter 14:2 describes the events we saw on October 7th 2023 to an astonishing degree. The only difference is the carnage will take place in Jerusalem.

The Coming Day of the Lord

Zec 14:1-2 KJV  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.  (2)  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Verse 2 is very prophetic to our generation over the next few years if we have that long. Our idiotic leadership in the white house is calling for a 2 state solution without asking the bad guys being Hamas to give up very much. You cannot have a 2 state solution without dividing Jerusalem in half. So we are very close indeed to something great happening would you agree? We don’t set times and dates but the evidence is clear at this point. The world is calling for ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua’s land to be parted. As we have been exploring He is not real happy about this subject.

1Th 5:1-11 KJV  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  (2)  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  (3)  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  (4)  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  (5)  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  (6)  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.  (7)  For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.  (8)  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.  (9)  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  (10)  Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.  (11)  Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

We explored a couple of ways ABBA Father conducts His warfare in our last journey. We will be returning to that subject. For now we wish to explore This subject of the 2 state solution according to verse 2. The world has been screaming for this since Israel was restored as a nation in 1948-1949. Israel over the years has made many worthy offers but the Philistines (modern day Palestinians)usually start a war of some kind in response. You see Israel and some Christians around the world understand that there can be no peace with terrorists. The rest of the world knows this but cannot stand to not have a say in the matter. Possibly the rest of the world is too dumb to know this. Those of the unbelieving world need to get to know their Savior before time runs out. That Savior is Lord Yeshua. We do know that any one who does not understand Bible prophecy will not get the picture. Perhaps reasons like this is why Lord Yeshua tells us.

Do Not Be Anxious

Luk 12:27-31 KJV  Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  (28)  If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?  (29)  And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.  (30)  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.  (31)  But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The point being ABBA Father understands we need the same types of things in our daily lives as the unbelieving nations. The need is for us to pay more attention to seeking the kingdom. As long as we are doing this we will have what we need. Amen!!

I Am the Bread of Life

Joh 6:22-27 KJV  The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;  (23)  (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)  (24)  When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.  (25)  And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?  (26)  Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.  (27)  Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Let’s start our new journey into the passage of Zechariah 14:1-3

Please allow me to start by saying that the only nation that has very little say so about all this is Israel. That’s kind of ironic in a way isn’t it. Almost every major player on the world scene many nuclear powers are supporting the solution. The fact that the world is telling ABBA Father what to do with His land. We explored The subject of the day of the Lord concerning the passage. This journey will start out by exploring what scripture says about the land of ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua and how ABBA Father feels about man‘s feeble attempts to take His land and do with it.

Although we have covered some of this ground before we feel that we should briefly share the origins of the Philistine people(so called Palestinians). We will pick up with the story of Jacob and Esau. This is really where the 2 state non-sense begins according to scripture.
The Birth of Esau and Jacob

Gen 25:19-25 KJV  And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:  (20)  And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.  (21)  And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.  (22)  And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.  (23)  And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.  (24)  And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.  (25)  And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
Esau Sells His Birthright

Gen 25:26-34 KJV  And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.  (27)  And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.  (28)  And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.  (29)  And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:  (30)  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.  (31)  And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.  (32)  And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?  (33)  And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.  (34)  Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

You cannot get more precise than what is said about the 2 nations that came into existence. We have often been guilty of using the old cliché be careful what you ask for and at no other time more important when dealing with ABBA Father’s blessings. Esau had the kingdom in hand and chose to let it go for a bowl of soup. He thought he was joking and ABBA Father did not. Of course ABBA Father has the advantage of always knowing what’s coming next.

Isaac Blesses Jacob

Gen 27:1-7 KJV  And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.  (2)  And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:  (3)  Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;  (4)  And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.  (5)  And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.  (6)  And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,  (7)  Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.

Gen 27:8-17 KJV  Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.  (9)  Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:  (10)  And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.  (11)  And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:  (12)  My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.  (13)  And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.  (14)  And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.  (15)  And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:  (16)  And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:  (17)  And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.

Gen 27:18-23 KJV  And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?  (19)  And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.  (20)  And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.  (21)  And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.  (22)  And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.  (23)  And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.

Gen 27:24-30 KJV  And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.  (25)  And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.  (26)  And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.  (27)  And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:  (28)  Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:  (29)  Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.  (30)  And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.

Of course this infamous incident in scripture is more than just a story. It’s the start of a history of Arabs and Jews hating one another.

Esau of course was more than angered about the situation. He responds by rebelling against the very command of ABBA Father Himself.

Jacob Sent to Laban

Gen 28:1-5 KJV  And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.  (2)  Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.  (3)  And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;  (4)  And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.  (5)  And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

Esau Marries an Ishmaelite

Gen 28:6-16 KJV  When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;  (7)  And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;  (8)  And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;  (9)  Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.  (10)  And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.  (11)  And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.  (12)  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.  (13)  And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;  (14)  And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.  (15)  And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.  (16)  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

Jacob's Dream

Gen 28:17-22 KJV  And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.  (18)  And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.  (19)  And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.  (20)  And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,  (21)  So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:  (22)  And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

We will stop for now with this part of the history. We should add that we have a pattern that goes back to the days of Cain and Abel. That pattern is one of acceptance and rejection. Over an offering that ABBA Father despised from a rebellious Cain the world’s first murder was committed. As the history unfolds we have the separation of Isaac and Ishmael. Then it trickles down to what we just explored; Jacob and Esau. In scripture there was a fragile peace between Jacob and Esau one could say. The descendants of Isaac and Ishmael as well as Jacob and Esau have been warring over the promised land which Esau rejected in the first place since those early days after the patriarchs. For those who might not know Esau is the same as Edom in scripture. There is also an association with mount Seir and Esau.

Cain and Abel

Gen 4:3-10 KJV  And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.  (4)  And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:  (5)  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.  (6)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  (7)  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.  (8)  And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.  (9)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?  (10)  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

The last thing we will share on this matter for now is the name Palestine. The Roman emperor Hadrian who did not rule until almost 90 years after Lord Yeshua was crucified. He changed the name to Palestine. Satan had a very effective plan here. Most of the world not following this from a biblical perspective believes it has always been called Palestine. No! It was Canaan and then became Israel. So in case you are new to all this, this is the biblical history on the matter. Much of what we are witnessing in Israel right now spiritually is Esau trying to get his birthright back. The problem for all of us being that the world will be dumb enough to give it back. AMEN!!

In Ezekiel 36 the situation for Israel and Jerusalem is summed up very nice in the opening verses. Ezekiel is given a prophecy by ABBA Father concerning the mountains of Israel. Just a little food for thought, there is still a nation that Israel has to deal with concerning the Golan Heights as they are called. That nation is Syria.

Prophecy to the Mountains of Israel

Eze 36:1-5 KJV  Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:  (2)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:  (3)  Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lipsH8193, of talkersH3956, and are an infamy of the people:  (4)  Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;  (5)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointedH5414my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

It does not get any better than this friends. When you thought our folks in the white house could not get any dumber now they seem to be turning on Israel full force as Israel is about to finish off Hamas.

Eze 36:6-15 KJV  Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:  (7)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.  (8)  But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.  (9)  For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:  (10)  And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:  (11)  And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  (12)  Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.  (13)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;  (14)  Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD.  (15)  Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD.

Eze 36:16-21 KJV  Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  (17)  Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.  (18)  Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:  (19)  And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.  (20)  And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.  (21)  But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

Eze 36:22-28 KJV  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.  (23)  And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.  (24)  For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.  (25)  Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.  (26)  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  (27)  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.  (28)  And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Eze 36:29-38 KJV  I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.  (30)  And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.  (31)  Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.  (32)  Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.  (33)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.  (34)  And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.  (35)  And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.  (36)  Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.  (37)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.  (38)  As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Friends this is exactly what Israel did when they were resettled into the land. They took the desolate heaps and turned them into works of art. The people wanting to take the land from Israel are lazy and do not want to do this with land Israel is more than happy for them to have. They want something for nothing. Without Lord Yeshua as Savior that is exactly what they deserve being nothing. The funny thing about all this is that 1 God being ABBA Father has 1 Son who died and rose again for all of us. There is another god called allah who has to have the blood of all his followers to get the job done. This should make an easy choice even easier to make. We will continue now by looking into Ezekiel 37.

Eze 37:1-7 KJV  The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,  (2)  And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.  (3)  And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.  (4)  Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.  (5)  Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:  (6)  And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  (7)  So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Eze 37:8-14 KJV  And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.  (9)  Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.  (10)  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.  (11)  Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.  (12)  Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.  (13)  And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,  (14)  And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Eze 37:15-21 KJV  The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,  (16)  Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:  (17)  And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.  (18)  And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?  (19)  Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.  (20)  And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.  (21)  And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

Eze 37:22-28 KJV  And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:  (23)  Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.  (24)  And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.  (25)  And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.  (26)  Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.  (27)  My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  (28)  And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Now we do not wish to confuse any one new to a lot of this. The 2 nations talked about here are not Jacob and Esau. It refers to the kingdom which was split when Solomon died. The northern kingdom of 10 tribes and the 2 tribes of Benjamin and Judah. The kingdom restored to glory and David as ruler under Lord Yeshua. As we have explored before the 3 chapters of Ezekiel 37-39 tell a lot of the history we have seen and will see. This spiritual prophetic representation of the restoration of the nation of Israel is what will be shaping the major problems still coming to the world.

Ironically enough it also is a spiritual representation of the resurrection of us as believers. Not much difference really in the scenarios. Our Savior Lord Yeshua told us this in the signs of the end of the age.

The Lesson of the Fig Tree

Mat 24:32-35 KJV  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:  (33)  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.  (34)  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.  (35)  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

No One Knows That Day or Hour

Mar 13:32-37 KJV  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  (33)  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  (34)  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  (35)  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  (36)  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  (37)  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

As we also shared at the beginning about that day.

1Th 5:1-4 KJV  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

Just a little word of caution. The nation of Colombia has said they will not have relations with Israel if they do not honor the UN ceasefire situation. We also had Donald Trump telling “Bibi” Netanyahu to hurry things along as the world’s patience grows thinner. He should have stated his unwavering support for what Israel is doing. Vivek wanted to cut Israel’s aid completely off by 2028. So do not forget what these people are doing and saying about Israel. This ol’ preacher boy from Tennessee is as conservative as it gets. I would never support the 2 morons we have in the white house right now. However as we have warned many times a lot of the world’s leaders are going to choose ongoing violence and terrorism as to letting Israel finish the job. Just remember though your faith should triumph over your politics in every case. When someone tells you not to talk about politics and religion, remind them that is why the books of the Kings and Chronicles and many others are in the scripture.

The Call of Abram

Gen 12:1-3 KJV  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:  (2)  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:  (3)  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Num 24:8-9 KJV  God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.  (9)  He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

In the mean time if you do not know Lord Yeshua your personal Lord and Savior consider the following.
Let Us Go to the House of the Lord

Psa 122:1-9 KJV  A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.  (2)  Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.  (3)  Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:  (4)  Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.  (5)  For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.  (6)  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.  (7)  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.  (8)  For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.  (9)  Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25-30 KJV  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  (26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  (28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  (29)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  (30)  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-8 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.  (8)  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

As always thanks for sharing a word we still have more ground to revisit

We are moving forward into Zechariah 14 revisited. As we did last go around we will review a little of chapter 13. We had a brief look at some allusions to Lord Yeshua’s life. Let’s look at chapter 13 briefly for review.

Zec 13:1 KJV  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

  1. We explored in some detail the subject of the word fountain and how it applies to prophecy here
  2. We also mentioned we are still dealing with the same prophecy from chapter 12
  3. The connection to the fountain(s) in the book of Revelation
Idolatry Cut Off

Zec 13:2-6 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.  (3)  And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.  (4)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:  (5)  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.  (6)  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
  1. We explored some of the world’s big religions very briefly
  2. We demonstrated a few examples of what ABBA Father considers idolatry
  3. The passage also states that the would be prophet would suffer wounds to his hands trying to defend against the attacks of those around him
  4. How all this leads to Lord Yeshua and His suffering
The Shepherd Struck

Zec 13:7-9 KJV  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.  (8)  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  (9)  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

We did a couple of word studies on this passage

Zec 13:7-9 KJV  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the manH1397that is my fellowH5997, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

manH1397
H1397
גֶּבֶר
geber
gheh'-ber
From H1396; properly a valiant man or warrior; generally a person simply: - every one, man, X mighty. Total JV occurrences: 65

fellowH5997
עָמִית
'a^mı^yth
aw-meeth'
From a primitive root meaning to associate; companionship; hence (concretely) a comrade or kindred man: - another, fellow, neighbour. Total KJV occurrences: 12

2.  We demonstrated with these word studies how ABBA Father tells us this man or fellow is His kindred
3. The scattering of the people after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem
4. The remnant of the people to come back into the land
Let’s begin a look at chapter 14.

The Coming Day of the Lord

Zec 14:1-8 KJV  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.  (2)  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.  (3)  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.  (4)  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.  (5)  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.  (6)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:  (7)  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.  (8)  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

Zec 14:9-15 KJV  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.  (10)  All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.  (11)  And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.  (12)  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.  (13)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.  (14)  And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.  (15)  And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

Zec 14:16-21 KJV  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.  (17)  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.  (18)  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  (19)  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  (20)  In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.  (21)  Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Zechariah’s vision earlier in verses 1-8 is an early prophetic look at the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. It seems to get more intricate from there forward. Let’s begin our exploration of chapter 14.

The day of The Lord is a subject we have tried somewhat to develop over time. Let’s look at just a few of ABBA Father’s allusions to that day. This passage has connections to many chapters we have studied. We will show a few places where you can further develop your own explorations.
The Day of the Lord

Isa 2:10-12 KJV  Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.  (11)  The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.  (12)  For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

The Judgment of Babylon

Isa 13:6-11 KJV  Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.  (7)  Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:  (8)  And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.  (9)  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.  (10)  For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.  (11)  And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

The Lord Will Pour Out His Spirit

Joe 2:28-32 KJV  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  (29)  And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.  (30)  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.  (31)  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.  (32)  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

The Lord Judges the Nations

Joe 3:1-8 KJV  For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,  (2)  I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.  (3)  And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.  (4)  Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;  (5)  Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:  (6)  The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.  (7)  Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:  (8)  And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

Joe 3:9-16 KJV  Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:  (10)  Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.  (11)  Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.  (12)  Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.  (13)  Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.  (14)  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.  (15)  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.  (16)  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

The Glorious Future of Judah

Joe 3:17-21 KJV  So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.  (18)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.  (19)  Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.  (20)  But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.  (21)  For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

The Great Day of the Lord

Mal 4:1-6 KJV  For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.  (2)  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.  (3)  And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.  (4)  Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.  (5)  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  (6)  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Paul also announces this day by quoting directly from the book of Joel.

Act 2:16-21 KJV  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;  (17)  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:  (18)  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:  (19)  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:  (20)  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:  (21)  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Then we see the same prophecy mentioned in Revelation 16.

Rev 16:12-16 KJV  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.  (13)  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  (14)  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  (15)  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  (16)  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Zec 14:2-3 KJV  For I will gather allH3605nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be takenH3920, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.  (3)  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

As we have been exploring these last 3 chapters the similarities to what is happening right now with Israel. As we have said to a few folks around here yours truly is almost 60 years old now. This is the 1st time in my life time that a Chinese naval group has been sent into the middle east. China after centuries of isolation appears to be gearing up for something. Many fear that Taiwan will be at war with China before too long. This means that China will be at war with us.

The passage tells us that all nations will be drawn to the battlefield. We did the word study in order to stress the totality of the nations.

We explored the gathering of both nations and the people of the earth against ABBA Father and His nation as well as Lord Yeshua’s. We explored how in a physical sense this is being fulfilled by people who want to condone the acts of savages and their annoying protests. Again friends we are going to stress the point that this prophecy has only 1 variance with what happened 7 October 2023 in Israel. That being it did not take place in Jerusalem.

Zec 14:3 KJV  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

This verse can imply many different examples of how ABBA Father wages His warfare. Where we would like to start is Psalm 83. The reason we are doing so is the passage describes the many nations that would be conspiring to destroy Israel. We have explored the passage both in our chapter by chapter of Zechariah along with our new looks into chapters 12-14. We will pick up at verse 9. We recommend reading as always the entire passage. Starting at verse 9 we see an example of how ABBA Father fights in the day of battle.

Psa 83:9-18 KJV  Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:  (10)  Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.  (11)  Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:  (12)  Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.  (13)  O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.  (14)  As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;  (15)  So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.  (16)  Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.  (17)  Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:  (18)  That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Psa 83:9-10 KJV  Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:  (10)  Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

The Midianites- let’s do a brief run down on them

Midian was the son of Abraham during his 2nd marriage to a woman named Keturah.

Gen 25:1-2 KJV  Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.  (2)  And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and MidianH4080, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

H4079
מִדְיָן
midyân
mid-yawn'
A variation for H4066: - brawling, contention (-ous). Total KJV occurrences: 9

As we can see the name means a brawling contentious person. What we hot stuck with is a whole new set of enemies contesting Isaac’s covenant. Now let’s explore a couple of brief examples of what ABBA Father does with them. It was the Midianites who took Joseph from the well his brothers ad thrown him in. Then they sold him.

Gen 37:28 KJV  Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Gen 37:36 KJV  And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

Num 31:7-8 KJV  And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.  (8)  And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

The period of time we are exploring here is the time of the judges moreover at this time the prophetess Deborah.

Jdg 4:4-9 KJV  And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.  (5)  And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.  (6)  And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?  (7)  And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.  (8)  And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.  (9)  And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

Jdg 4:10-14 KJV  And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.  (11)  Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.  (12)  And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.  (13)  And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.  (14)  And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

To get to the heart of the matter so to speak a woman named Jael drove a tent peg into his temple and killed him.

Jdg 4:15-19 KJV  And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.  (16)  But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.  (17)  Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.  (18)  And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.  (19)  And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

Jdg 4:20-24 KJV  Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.  (21)  Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.  (22)  And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.  (23)  So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.  (24)  And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

Midian Oppresses Israel

Jdg 6:1-2 KJV  And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.  (2)  And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

Jdg 6:7-8 KJV  And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,  (8)  That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

The Call of Gideon

Jdg 6:11-13 KJV  And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.  (12)  And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.  (13)  And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Jdg 6:14-16 KJV  And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?  (15)  And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.  (16)  And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

Jdg 7:7 KJV  And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.

Gideon Defeats Midian

Jdg 7:19-25 KJV  So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.  (20)  And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.  (21)  And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.  (22)  And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.  (23)  And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.  (24)  And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.  (25)  And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.

Gideon Defeats Zebah and Zalmunna

Jdg 8:18-21 KJV  Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.  (19)  And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.  (20)  And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.  (21)  Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.

These are examples of how ABBA Father goes to battle. We will be exploring more of these in our next journey. In the time being we will leave you with the following words of comfort we see often here.

Mic 7:1-7 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
