Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Isaiah Factor 6 Isaiah’s Vision of The Lord

Isaiah Factor 6
Isaiah’s Vision of The Lord

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:105-112  NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  (106)  I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.  (107)  I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.  (108)  Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.  (109)  My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.  (110)  The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.  (111)  Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.  (112)  I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Mat 5:17-20 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  (19)  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (20)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:17 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The Example of Christ

Rom 15:1-7  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  (5)  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  (6)  That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (7)  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hello again Friends. Moving along with Isaiah in this journey. We are exploring a vision Isaiah had at the time of King Uzziah’s death. This would be circa 760BC. If we remember Uzziah was part of our very first verse in Isaiah.

Isa 1:1  The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

He tried to make an offering in the holiest of holies and was struck with leprosy. Uzziah as we said in our other journeys was a great leader for Israel. He was patriotic, smart and was doing good things with ABBA Father. Unfortunately it must have got to his head a little bit. Let’s get started with the vision of Isaiah 6.

Isaiah's Vision of the Lord

Isa 6:1-7  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.  (2)  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.  (3)  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.  (4)  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.  (5)  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.  (6)  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:  (7)  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

Isaiah's Commission from the Lord

Isa 6:8-13  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  (9)  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.  (10)  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.  (11)  Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,  (12)  And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.  (13)  But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

Isa 6:1  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

The Lord Is in His Holy Temple

Psa 11:1-7  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?  (2)  For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.  (3)  If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?  (4)  The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.  (5)  The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.  (6)  Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.  (7)  For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

The throne was a subject seen by a few others in the OT.

Eze 10:1  Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Dan 7:9  I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

Rev 3:20-22  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  (21)  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.  (22)  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Throne in Heaven

Rev 4:1-6  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.  (2)  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  (3)  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  (4)  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  (5)  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.  (6)  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

The Final Judgment

Mat 25:32-37  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  (33)  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  (34)  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  (35)  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  (36)  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.  (37)  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Mat 25:38-41  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  (39)  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?  (40)  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  (41)  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Mat 25:42-46  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:  (43)  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.  (44)  Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?  (45)  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.  (46)  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Jesus Before the Council

Mar 14:53-59  And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.  (54)  And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.  (55)  And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.  (56)  For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.  (57)  And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,  (58)  We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.  (59)  But neither so did their witness agree together.

Mar 14:60-65  And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?  (61)  But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?  (62)  And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.  (63)  Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?  (64)  Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.  (65)  And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Isa 6:2  Above it stood the seraphimsH8314: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

seraphimsH8314
שָׂרָף
śârâph
saw-rawf'  From H8313; burning, that is, (figuratively) poisonous (serpent); specifically a saraph or symbolical creature (from their copper color): - fiery (serpent), seraph.  Total KJV occurrences: 7

The word appears 4 times throughout Isaiah and 3 times in the Torah.
The only 2 times this word is interpreted as seraphims in the plural is in this passage of Isaiah we are exploring. We do however find creatures that have 6 wings surrounding the throne of ABBA Father in Revelation 4.

Isa 6:3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Rev 4:6-8  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.  (7)  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.  (8)  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Rev 4:9-11  And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,  (10)  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,  (11)  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Psa 57:9-11  I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.  (10)  For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.  (11)  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psa 72:18-19  Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.  (19)  And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Zec 14:9  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

Mat 16:24-28  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  (25)  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.  (26)  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  (27)  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.  (28)  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Isa 4:4-6  When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.  (5)  And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.  (6)  And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
The Ark Brought into the Temple

1Ki 8:1-5  Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.  (2)  And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.  (3)  And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.  (4)  And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.  (5)  And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

1Ki 8:6-11  And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.  (7)  For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.  (8)  And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.  (9)  There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.  (10)  And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,  (11)  So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

Exo 33:17-20  And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.  (18)  And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.  (19)  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.  (20)  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

Rev 11:16-19  And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,  (17)  Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.  (18)  And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.  (19)  And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

This is the long-term fulfillment of the things Isaiah is told to convey to us.

Isa 6:5  Then said I, WoeH188is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

WoeH188
אוֹי
'ôy
o'-ee  Probably from H183 (in the sense of crying out after); lamentation; also interjectionally, Oh!: - alas, woe.  Total KJV occurrences: 24

The first thing we will say about this concerns the word woe. The word appears 21 times in the book of Isaiah. This is interesting in the math itself. There are however different words that are used. There are 2 words to be precise in the book of Isaiah. We first looked at the word in chapter 5. Since this verse demonstrates the other Hebrew word we will list it.

Isa 5:8  WoeH1945unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!

WoeH1945
הוֹי
hôy
hoh'ee  A prolonged form of H1930 (akin to H188); oh!: - ah, alas, ho, O, woe. Total KJV occurrences: 50

Isaiah acknowledges his sins along side and amongst the people. This is something that our Lord and Savior teaches. Something about acknowledging our own sins before taking the burdens of others on.

Judging Others

Mat 7:1-6  Judge not, that ye be not judged.  (2)  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  (3)  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?  (4)  Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?  (5)  Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.  (6)  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

A Tree Is Known by Its Fruit

Mat 12:33-37  Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.  (34)  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  (35)  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  (36)  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  (37)  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

The Sign of Jonah

Mat 12:38-42  Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.  (39)  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:  (40)  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  (41)  The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.  (42)  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

We would like to take a look at the calling of Ezekiel in the 2nd chapter of his book.

Ezekiel's Call

Eze 2:1-6  And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.  (2)  And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.  (3)  And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.  (4)  For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.  (5)  And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.  (6)  And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

Eze 2:7-10  And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.  (8)  But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.  (9)  And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;  (10)  And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

The very things Isaiah laid out in prophecy from ABBA Father are problematic to Ezekiel as well. We mentioned in an earlier journey that Jeremiah and Ezekiel give the details to the broad picture that Isaiah announces. Just as ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua tell us through Paul.

1Co 14:33  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Isa 6:6-7  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:  (7)  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purgedH3722.

Again this is the last time we see the word seraphim in scripture. What Isaiah does here in this passage is confess his sins before ABBA Father Himself. Not many of us get to share the vision that Isaiah has when they become a servant of the lord. However we do have the equivalent in the Holy Spirit. We go through the same steps as Isaiah when obtaining our salvation. The coal coming from the altar for burnt offering. Just as Lord Yeshua was to be the offering for all of mankind.

purgedH3722
כָּפַר
kâphar
kaw-far'  A primitive root; to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).  Total KJV occurrences: 102

Jesus Heals a Paralytic

Mar 2:1-4  And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.  (2)  And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.  (3)  And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.  (4)  And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

Mar 2:5-12  When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.  (6)  But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,  (7)  Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?  (8)  And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?  (9)  Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?  (10)  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)  (11)  I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.  (12)  And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Isaiah's Commission from the Lord

Isa 6:8-10  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  (9)  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.  (10)  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Notice in verse 8 that ABBA Father uses the word us. This tells us there is more than just His entity at work here. This would be an indication ABBA Father is referring to Himself and Lord Yeshua.

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Gen 11:6-7  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.  (7)  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

Mat 4:18-22  And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.  (19)  And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.  (20)  And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.  (21)  And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.  (22)  And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

The Son of Man Must Be Lifted Up

Joh 12:27-32  Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.  (28)  Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.  (29)  The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.  (30)  Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.  (31)  Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.  (32)  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Joh 12:33-35  This he said, signifying what death he should die.  (34)  The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?  (35)  Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

The Unbelief of the People

Joh 12:36-43  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.  (37)  But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:  (38)  That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?  (39)  Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,  (40)  He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.  (41)  These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.  (42)  Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:  (43)  For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Isaiah confesses his sin and receives his charge from ABBA Father to take His message to the people. Lord Yeshua begins His ministry at the lawful age of 30 years old. He was bringing the world a message from ABBA Father. Again we would have to stress the human aspect to all this. We hear that call from Lord Yeshua we become born again and receive some form of an assignment for our lives.

Isa 6:11-12  Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,  (12)  And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

This cry to ABBA Father the same then and now. The people who are following the Lord and feeling the weight of evil and persecution rising within the nation to cry out to ABBA Father in the form of how lengthy the wait will be until He shows Himself.

Psa 74:10  O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

Psa 90:11-13  Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.  (12)  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.  (13)  Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

Psa 94:1-4  O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.  (2)  Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.  (3)  LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?  (4)  How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Isa 1:7  Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

Num 14:11  And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

Num 14:27  How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

Jer 4:14  O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Jer 12:4  How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.

Habakkuk's Complaint

Hab 1:2-4  O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!  (3)  Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.  (4)  Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

Mat 17:15-18  Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.  (16)  And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.  (17)  Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.  (18)  And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Rev 6:9-10  And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  (10)  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Isa 6:13  But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

Isa 1:9  Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Isa 4:2-4  In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.  (3)  And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:  (4)  When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Mar 13:19-23  For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.  (20)  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.  (21)  And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:  (22)  For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.  (23)  But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

No One Knows That Day or Hour

Mar 13:32-37  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  (33)  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  (34)  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  (35)  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  (36)  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  (37)  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Woe to Unrepentant Cities

Mat 11:20-24  Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:  (21)  Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.  (22)  But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.  (23)  And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.  (24)  But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25-30  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  (26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  (28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  (29)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  (30)  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-7  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Empires of Prophecy 7 Esau and His Dukes

Empires of Prophecy 7
Esau and His Dukes

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:97-104  MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.  (98)  Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.  (99)  I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.  (100)  I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.  (101)  I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.  (102)  I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.  (103)  How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!  (104)  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

We are switching gears with this journey back to the empires of biblical prophecy. We have followed the steps of Abraham and his encounters with Egyptian society. He even had a son by an Egyptian hand maid Hagar. The son named Ishmael. We explored how ABBA Father was clear that Isaac is the covenant son.

Isaac's Birth Promised

Gen 17:15-19  And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.  (16)  And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.  (17)  Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?  (18)  And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!  (19)  And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

Gen 17:20-21  And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.  (21)  But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

ABBA Father affirms 2 times that Isaac will be the covenant son. However He does promise as we explored before that Ishmael would father a great nation. Indeed he sure does this as he is considered and rightfully so the father of the Arab nations and gulf states as we know them today.

Along the way to exploring the Egyptian empire we have discovered many new nations coming from Abraham. Remember the  whole time this is going on Egypt is finding its way to becoming an empire.

We explored the names and nations of Abraham’s last 6 sons with Keturah. We also explored the definitions and names of the children of Ishmael. One of the key things to remember about this history is what Abraham did with all his sons aside from Isaac.

Gen 25:5-11  And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.  (6)  But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.  (7)  And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.  (8)  Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.  (9)  And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;  (10)  The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.  (11)  And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.

We explored how Esau sold his birthright for a paltry meal. He did not understand he had his hands on the kingdom of all kingdoms. The kingdom that eventually brings the King of kings and Lord of lords. We will look at the blessing of Jacob over Esau. Let’s just say there was good reason that this is the way things should have worked out.

Esau Sells His Birthright

Gen 25:30-34  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.  (31)  And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.  (32)  And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?  (33)  And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.  (34)  Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despisedH959  his birthright.

despisedH959
בָּזָה
bâzâh
baw-zaw'  A primitive root; to disesteem: - despise, disdain, contemn (-ptible), + think to scorn, vile person.  Total KJV occurrences: 42

Gen 26:34-35  And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:  (35)  Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

In a search we found that Esau is found in scripture exactly 100 times. We will explore his history briefly. We know he intermarried with the Hittites. There is also another marriage that ties Esau in with the Ishmaelites.

Esau Marries an Ishmaelite

Gen 28:6-9  When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;  (7)  And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;  (8)  And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;  (9)  Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

We are seeing a pattern establish here. That being there can only be 1 inheritance just as there can be only 1 pure kingdom. That kingdom of course belonging to ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua.

Gen 28:8-9  And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;  (9)  Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.

So let’s stop and just throw something out there that is fact. ABBA Father in the saga of Cain and Abel expected certain attention when it came offering time. Cain carelessly threw away his relationship with ABBA Father over a paltry offering.

Esau's Descendants

Gen 36:1-3  Now these are the generations of EsauH6215, who is Edom.  (2)  EsauH6215 took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; AdahH5711 the daughter of Elon the HittiteH2850, and AholibamahH173 the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;  (3)  And BashemathH1315 Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

bos-math'  Feminine of the second form of H1314; fragrance; Bosmath, the name of a wife of Esau, and of a dughter of Solomon: - Bashemath, Basmath. Total KJV occurrences: 7

We could not help but to draw attention to the definition of the Hittites. Notice the word terror is associated with them.

Gen 36:4-8  And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;  (5)  And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.  (6)  And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.  (7)  For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.  (8)  Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

Gen 36:9-12  And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:  (10)  These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.  (11)  And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.  (12)  And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz AmalekH6002: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

עמלק
‛ămâlêq
BDB Definition:
Amalek = “dweller in a valley”
1) son of Eliphaz by his concubine Timnah, grandson of Esau, and progenitor of a tribe of people in southern Canaan
2) descendants of Amalek Part of Speech: noun proper masculine

Amalek is one person we will expand on just for a moment. Since we are looking at empires and nations in scripture. The name was found 24 times in our search. All we will say for now is that Amalek or the leader by that name at the time of the Exodus was first to confront Israel in their journey toward the promised land.

Israel Defeats Amalek

Exo 17:8-16  Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.  (9)  And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.  (10)  So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.  (11)  And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.  (12)  But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.  (13)  And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.  (14)  And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.  (15)  And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:  (16)  For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Back to Esau and his descendants.

Gen 36:13-16  And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.  (14)  And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.  (15)  These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,  (16)  Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

The genealogy of Esau’s descendants is quite lengthy. We would be many journeys exploring them all in detail. So again we will try and shed some light on some of the more notorious people. The one thing we would point out that is common to them is they are all referred to as dukes. In other words they somewhat venerated their leaders. That seems to be a custom that remains to this day in many parts of the world. However we know that ABBA Father tells us more about some folks than others for a reason. We will not detail all the definitions we would be here for weeks on that alone but we do encourage you to on your own.

Gen 36:17-21  And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.  (18)  And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.  (19)  These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.  (20)  These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,  (21)  And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

Jesus Rejoices in the Father's Will

Luk 10:21-24  In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (22)  All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.  (23)  And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:  (24)  For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

ABBA Father uses Malachi to inform us about His feelings regarding Esau.

Mal 1:1  The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.

The Lord's Love for Israel

Mal 1:2-5  I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,  (3)  And I hatedH8130Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.  (4)  Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.  (5)  And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.

Cain and Abel

Gen 4:1-8  And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.  (2)  And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.  (3)  And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.  (4)  And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:  (5)  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.  (6)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  (7)  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.  (8)  And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Later we have a problem develop between Canaan and Noah via Ham.

Noah's Descendants

Gen 9:18-29  And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.  (19)  These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.  (20)  And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:  (21)  And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.  (22)  And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.  (23)  And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.  (24)  And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.  (25)  And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.  (26)  And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.  (27)  God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.  (28)  And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.  (29)  And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

A few generations later we have Esau abandoning his birthright. We always like to stress one thing. Esau probably thought he was kidding about his birthright but ABBA Father did not think so. That’s why we need to be careful about our reverence of ABBA Father and His Son our Savior and King Lord Yeshua.

Another few generations and we have the Babel incident.

The Tower of Babel

Gen 11:1-9  And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.  (2)  And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.  (3)  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.  (4)  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.  (5)  And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.  (6)  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.  (7)  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.  (8)  So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.  (9)  Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

All of these divisions and rivalries boil down to just one thing. ABBA Father has 1 way of doing things. He preserved the lineage from Adam all the way down to Abraham and way beyond. Then of course we have the division between Isaac and Ishmael. Then we come to Jacob and Esau as we explored. It always boils down to 1 thing. That being Isaac was the covenant son. The middle eastern world is divided over Isaac (Judaism and Christianity) or Ishmael representing Islam. So we have the 2 sons who were on the opposite end of ABBA Father’s wishes (Ishmael and Esau) coming together. More  importantly they become enemies of the Hebrew people all through history.

The animosity comes from the descendants of Ishmael and Esau. It’s not that they are not part of the kingdom. ABBA Father wants them in the kingdom as bad as anyone. That old enemy the Bible calls enmity has been hard at work down through all the centuries.

Gen 3:13-15  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.  (14)  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:  (15)  And I will put enmity H342between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

enmity H342

Prophecy Against Philistia

Eze 25:15-17  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatredH342;  (16)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.  (17)  And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

Prophecy Against Mount Seir

Eze 35:1-8  Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  (2)  Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,  (3)  And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.  (4)  I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.  (5)  Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:  (6)  Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.  (7)  Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.  (8)  And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

Eze 35:9-12  I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.  (10)  Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:  (11)  Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.  (12)  And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.

Eze 35:13-15  Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.  (14)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.  (15)  As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

In case you are  not familiar Edom is another name for Mt. Seir and both are just another way of saying Esau and his territory. They were carried away and destroyed by the Babylonians as well.

He Will Tread Down Our Foes

Psa 60:1-5  To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.  (2)  Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.  (3)  Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.  (4)  Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.  (5)  That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

Glorious Things of You Are Spoken

Psa 108:7-13  God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.  (8)  Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;  (9)  Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.  (10)  Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?  (11)  Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?  (12)  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.  (13)  Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Friends the events of 7 October 2023 are leading us directly into fulfillment of these passages. The exact same descendants are carrying out the attacks and terror today. Lord Yeshua is coming back to deal with the entire earth and more specifically the enemies of Israel once and for all. Things that have been coming to play again.

The Coming Day of the Lord

Zec 14:1-5  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.  (2)  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.  (3)  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.  (4)  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.  (5)  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
