Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Mat 24:25 KJV Behold, I have told you before. Revisiting Zechariah 12-14 Zechariah 14:6-11

Mat 24:25 KJV  Behold, I have told you before.
Revisiting Zechariah 12-14
Zechariah 14:6-11

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Mat 5:17-20 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  (19)  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (20)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:17 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The Example of Christ

Rom 15:1-7 KJV  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  (5)  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  (6)  That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (7)  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:4 KJV  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hello again friends. As mentioned in our last get together we will be exploring a few things about connections to the book of Revelation. We are trying to go at a slow enough pace to keep things from getting confused. Let’s list a short summary of what we have explored so far. In chapter 12 we explored the following.

The Lord Will Give Salvation

Zec 12:1-3 KJV  The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.  (2)  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.  (3)  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

We feel that what we are witnessing is at the very least a pre-cursor to this gathering being fulfilled. We explored how basically the whole is gathered against ABBA Father’s people either in physical warfare or protestors all around the world. When we say gathered against we mean gathered against the Jewish people and Christians. Here in America we seem to be giving in to Hamas supporters and protestors. They are in some cases calling for death to America here in America. This is not an insurrection we guess. Let’s move on with our review.

Zec 12:4-6 KJV  In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.  (5)  And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.  (6)  In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

This passage right here is another exact description of what is going on here in the middle east. The leaders of Israel most specifically Jerusalem will be a problem as described here a problem with their immediate enemies. Here in America we have some idiotic leaders carrying the mouthpiece for our biblically ignorant president. The world in many places even idiots like Chuck Schumer are calling for Benjamin Netanyahu to be removed from power. Why do dumb butts like Chuck Schumer and Biden not want to see the eradication of nothing but pure evil. As we say though they are helping the world go moronic right before the return of Lord Yeshua just as the Bible tells us. Amen!!

Zec 12:7-9 KJV  The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.  (8)  In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.  (9)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Well friends here we have it. We have pointed this out over the years. We ask the question what part of all this is under threat? Of all that you see the one we cannot see most of the time is Israel. Friends if we look at these prophesies and cannot see that it is well on its way to getting here then we are truly blind.

Him Whom They Have Pierced

Zec 12:10-14 KJV  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.  (11)  In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.  (12)  And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;  (13)  The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;  (14)  All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

A prophecy regarding the Jewish people and Lord Yeshua there can be no doubt.

Zec 12:10-11 KJV  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.  (11)  In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of MegiddonH4023.

H4023
מְגִדּוֹ    מְגִדּוֹן
megiddôn    megiddô
meg-id-done', meg-id-do'
From H1413; rendezvous; Megiddon or Megiddo, a place in Palestine: - Megiddo, Megiddon. Total KJV occurrences: 12

It’s verse 11 we will focus on a few moments. Millions of people around the world have heard the phrase “battle of Armageddon”. The passages we are dealing with are a description of this event. Pretty interesting that this word is defined as meaning rendezvous. This certainly will be one of the grandest meetings with the ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua. When we work back into chapter 14 we will be connecting some dots. Let’s briefly explore a summary of chapter 13.

In verse 1 we get a picture of things in the kingdom of the book of Revelation.

Zec 13:1 KJV  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

The water and river of life we read about in the book of Revelation.

Idolatry Cut Off

Zec 13:2-6 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.  (3)  And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.  (4)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:  (5)  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.  (6)  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

This is just 1 example of what ABBA Father is telling us.

The Shepherd Struck

Zec 13:7-9 KJV  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.  (8)  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  (9)  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

In chapter 12 Lord Yeshua is described as pierced which we all know was exactly what happened. We suggest you revert back to our journeys in whole. Now we come to chapter 14 where we have been working and will continue to do so until we have finished a new look at the passage of Zechariah 12-14. It’s just that we will start making the dots connect for you we pray.

Zec 14:1-3 KJV  Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.  (2)  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.  (3)  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Here in chapter 14 we see the prophecy regarding the 2 state solution for the city of Jerusalem. As this reads it appears that there will be massive warfare or at least the very threat thereof. This will trigger the city being split in half. When we developed our Daniel Extremity studies we detailed the 7 year tribulation period. Just as we developed the warfare among Zechariah, Joel, Isaiah and Ezekiel the result of this warfare may very well be what causes the peace treaty of 7 years to come into play. In the middle of that 7 year period the antichrist will make his power play.

We will not develop this passage again right now. Let’s just say there are 70 weeks of 7 years. This of course is 490 years. After 69 of these periods Messiah was cut off at the end of 483 years. In this final period of 7 years is when the attack comes on Jerusalem and Israel by the antichrist himself.

Dan 9:21-27 KJV  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.  (22)  And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.  (23)  At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.  (24)  Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.  (25)  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  (26)  And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  (27)  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This brings us to verses 4 and 5 of Zechariah 14. We explored the warfare and a little about the earthquake compared to one that happened during king Uzziah’s reign. In this journey we will try and connect the dots to Revelation and a couple of events taking place.

Zec 14:4-5 KJV  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.  (5)  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Zec 12:11 KJV  In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Rev 16:12-16 KJV  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.  (13)  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  (14)  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  (15)  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  (16)  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Friends think about this real hard and see if this is right around the corner. There are 5 earthquakes mentioned in the book of Revelation. There are 2 described

The first one is found in Revelation 6. It coincides with the 6th sealed judgment being opened.

Rev 6:12-14 KJV  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;  (13)  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  (14)  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

This earthquake described as very great. We will not fully develop this out in this journey. The next earthquake comes in Revelation 8.

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer

Rev 8:1-5 KJV  And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.  (2)  And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.  (3)  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.  (4)  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.  (5)  And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

In a passage heavily descriptive of the 2 witnesses coming to the temple mount. When they are killed They arise from the dead 3 and ½ days later. This earthquake is also described as great.

Rev 11:13 KJV  And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The Seventh Bowl

Rev 16:17-21 KJV  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.  (18)  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.  (19)  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.  (20)  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.  (21)  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Many scholars feel that the splitting of the mount of Olives could be this last earthquake found in Revelation. It’s also interesting that the 2 men on the mount of Olives told the crowd He would come back in like manner.

Zec 14:7-9 KJV  But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.  (8)  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.  (9)  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

This entire passage brings through more connections to Revelation as well. In case you are not familiar there are a couple of passages related to this in the book of Revelation.

The New Jerusalem

Rev 21:19-27 KJV  And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;  (20)  The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.  (21)  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.  (22)  And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  (23)  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  (24)  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.  (25)  And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.  (26)  And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.  (27)  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
The River of Life

Rev 22:1-5 KJV  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.  (2)  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  (3)  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:  (4)  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.  (5)  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Not much room to stretch things here it is not needed. These passages compliment each other perfectly. All biblical prophecy is like this. It’s just some times we have to keep digging deeper and deeper into the word.

Let’s consider Zechariah 14:8. There are other places in scripture that connect these subjects.

Zec 14:8 KJV  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

In Ezekiel 47 a prophecy about the future millennial temple we are told of the living waters.

Water Flowing from the Temple

Eze 47:1-12 KJV  Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.  (2)  Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.  (3)  And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.  (4)  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.  (5)  Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.  (6)  And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.  (7)  Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.  (8)  Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.  (9)  And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.  (10)  And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.  (11)  But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.  (12)  And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

God Is Our Fortress

Psa 46:1-11 KJV  To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  (2)  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  (3)  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.  (4)  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.  (5)  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.  (6)  The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.  (7)  The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.  (8)  Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.  (9)  He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.  (10)  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.  (11)  The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Zec 14:9 KJV  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

The Reign of the Lord's Anointed

Psa 2:1-12 KJV  Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?  (2)  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,  (3)  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.  (4)  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.  (5)  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.  (6)  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.  (7)  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.  (8)  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.  (9)  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.  (10)  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.  (11)  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  (12)  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

The Mountain of the Lord

Isa 2:1-5 KJV  The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.  (2)  And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  (3)  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  (4)  And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  (5)  O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Isa 45:22-25 KJV  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.  (23)  I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.  (24)  Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.  (25)  In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

The Eternal Covenant of Peace

Isa 54:1-5 KJV  Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.  (2)  Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;  (3)  For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.  (4)  Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.  (5)  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

The Mountain of the Lord

Mic 4:1-5 KJV  But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.  (2)  And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  (3)  And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  (4)  But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.  (5)  For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.

Zec 14:10 KJV  All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.

Geba is north of Jerusalem and Rimmon is to the south of Jerusalem. The modern name for Geba is Jeba. The other names are for the gates of Jerusalem. A couple of passages from Jeremiah regarding what was called the high Benjamin Gate.

Jeremiah Persecuted by Pashhur

Jer 20:1-2 KJV  Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.  (2)  Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD.

Jeremiah Imprisoned

Jer 37:11-16 KJV  And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,  (12)  Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself thence in the midst of the people.  (13)  And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans.  (14)  Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.  (15)  Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.  (16)  When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;

The following reference comes from the Smith’s Bible Dictionary.

Hananeel
Hanan'e-el. (whom God graciously gave). The tower of Hananeel. A tower which formed part of the wall of Jerusalem, Neh_3:1; Neh_12:39. From these two passages, particularly from the former, it might almost be inferred that Hananeel was, but another name for the tower of Meah; at any rate, they were close together, and stood between the sheep-gate and the fish-gate. This tower is further mentioned in Jer_31:38. The remaining passage in which it is named, Zec_14:10, also connects this tower with the "corner-gate," which lay on the other side of the sheep-gate.

A glimpse into the future of Jerusalem. We will start to close out this journey as we move forward into Zechariah 14:11.

Zec 14:11 KJV  And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

Isa 60:18-20 KJV  Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.  (19)  The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.  (20)  Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Jer 31:38-40 KJV  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.  (39)  And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.  (40)  And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

Eze 37:21-27 KJV  And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:  (22)  And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:  (23)  Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.  (24)  And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.  (25)  And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.  (26)  Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.  (27)  My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The Glorious Future of Judah

Joe 3:17-21 KJV  So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.  (18)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.  (19)  Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.  (20)  But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.  (21)  For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

Amo 9:14-15 KJV  And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.  (15)  And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

Zec 2:4-5 KJV  And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:  (5)  For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Zec 8:4 KJV  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.

Isa 26:1-3 KJV  In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.  (2)  Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.  (3)  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Rev 21:4-8 KJV  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.  (5)  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.  (6)  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  (7)  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  (8)  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

As we like to ask sometimes if you are new to all this or still sitting on a fence you are running out of time moment by moment, day by day. Try what our Lord and Savior recommends.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25-30 KJV  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  (26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  (28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  (29)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  (30)  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-7 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

As always thanks for sharing a word
