Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

The World:Sounding His Alarms Hearing His Warnings Ezekiel 38 and 39

Mat 24:5-8 KJV
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (6) And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (7) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (8) All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mat 24:35-39 KJV
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (36) But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (37) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, (39) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Mar 13:31-37 KJV
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (32) But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (33) Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (34) For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. (35) Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: (36) Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. (37) And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luk 17:22-27 KJV
And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. (23) And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. (24) For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. (25) But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. (26) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. (27) They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luk 21:25-28 KJV
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;(26)Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.(27)And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.(28)And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Well Friends here we go on a different type of journey to explore the words of then and now. First it is important to look at a word study that will encompass all 3 passages of the signs of the end of the age. These being Matthew chapter 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. The word in particular being kingdom.

Mat 24:7 KJV
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdomG932 and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

G932
βασιλεία
basileia
bas-il-i'-ah
From G935; properly royalty, that is, (abstractly) rule, or (concretely) a realm (literally or figuratively): - kingdom, + reign.

G935
βασιλεύς
basileus
bas-il-yooce'
Probably from G939 (through the notion of a foundation of power); a sovereign (abstractly, relatively or figuratively): - king.

G932
βασιλεία
basileia
Thayer Definition:
1) royal power, kingship, dominion, rule

1a) not to be confused with an actual kingdom but rather the right or authority to rule over a kingdom
1b) of the royal power of Jesus as the triumphant Messiah
1c) of the royal power and dignity conferred on Christians in the Messiah’s kingdom
2) a kingdom, the territory subject to the rule of a king
3) used in the N.T. to refer to the reign of the Messiah
Part of Speech: noun feminine

The Thayer reference highlighted in blue tells us something very important about this struggle for power among the nations Jesus warns us about. He did this over 2000 years ago as well. Jesus it seems as with many of His words conveys many different profound examples both in the historical and spiritual. The struggles we have witnessed over the course of the last 19 months or so in the middle east is a perfect example of Jesus’ words. The broad based description most western media uses is the Arab Spring. The very struggles within nations and kingdoms rising to the surface in the nations that founded the world setting the stage for the end of the age. This journey will be long yet in prayer and spirit informative. In the studies of the Daniel Extremity we explored the prophetic rise and fall of biblical as well as global empires.

However the deeper association concerning these empires is a clear understanding of who they are as individuals in the early parts of scripture. The aftermath of the flood is where the world took shape for us as Bible believing Christians.

Gen 5:32 KJV
And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Gen 9:19 KJV

These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

Gen 10:1 KJV

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

Gen 10:32 KJV

These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

All in all there are 70 nations attributed to the aftermath of the flood and the tower of Babel incident. Oh don’t worry we will get into every verse concerning these sons respectively. That will begin after we demonstrate how God works His wonderful Way through His word and His actions.

The history of this world was given us by God in many different ways from the very beginning.

Gen 2:1-4 KJV
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. (2) And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (3) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (4) These are the generationsH8435 of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

BDB Definition:
1) descendants, results, proceedings, generations, genealogies
1a) account of men and their descendants
1a1) genealogical list of one’s descendants
1a2) one’s contemporaries
1a3) course of history (of creation etc)
1b) begetting or account of heaven (metaphorically)
Part of Speech: noun feminine plural

What we have here with the punch line being verse 4 is the course of history being laid out by God at the beginning. By biblical math we know that the earth is approximately 6012 years old. We also know that God teaches something that is overlooked at times in both the Old and New Testaments.

Psa 90:1-9 KJVA Prayer of Moses the man of God.
Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. (2) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (3) Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. (4) For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. (5) Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. (6) In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. (7) For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled. (8) Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. (9) For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

2Pe 3:1-18 KJV
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: (2) That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: (3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, (4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (5) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (6) Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, (12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. (15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. (18) But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Gen 2:3-4 KJV

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (4) These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

Six days God created the heavens and the earth and each testament references a day as 1000 years. This is the approximate age of the earth now as we speak. (6012)

God created 6 days and rested on the 7th. He also sanctified it at the beginning. Now rational thinking might lead someone to ask what’s the big deal?

If you feel this in spirit the fact that in Revelation 20 the chapter that declares our rule and reign with Jesus for 1000 years this phrase "thousand years" appears 6 times.
The generations of heaven and earth patterned to the plan of salavtion. In short we have lived through 6000 years of history and we all know as believers Jesus' footsteps are louder than ever. This all leads to what according to scripture? A 1000 year rule and reign with Jesus. A friend asked once by theory could Jesus yet be 988 years away? In theory that is a good question but if you are a believer and you feel that the end of the age is another 988 years or so away that's your choice. However if you are a believer and feel that his footsteps are as loud as we feel them around here then you know that "watching" things in this world unfold right now should inform us that there is no way that this world can stand as long. In other words spiritual, historical or however else you may describe it all adds up to the end of the age. Please understand the dates and times are not the primary focus here. It is just a demonstration of how God declared the history of the world , the generations of mankind in the world and how this all this combines into what the words of Jesus and the prophets tell us about today's world.

1Th 5:1-11 KJV
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. (2) For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (3) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. (6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. (7) For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. (8) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. (9) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (10) Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. (11) Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

The declarations God gives us concerning the history of the world in profound spiritual explanation just adds to the excitment of Jesus' words. The generations of heaven and earth are symbolic of the great spiritual events including major warfare that takes place not long before the return of the Lord.

Mat 24:42-46 KJV
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.(43)But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.(44)Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.(45)Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?(46)Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Luk 21:28 KJV
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Rev 20:1-15 KJV
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (2) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (7) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, (8) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (9) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (11) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Now before you start running away screaming this guy is crazy check this out.

Isa 46:8-13 KJV
Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. (9) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, (10) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: (11) Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. (12) Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: (13) I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Isa 41:21-29 KJV
Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. (22) Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. (23) Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. (24) Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you. (25) I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay. (26) Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words. (27) The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings. (28) For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word. (29) Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

There are things that God let's us know in His Spirit and His words. We opened this set of studies concerning alarms and warnings for the world mentioning Ezekiel 38 and 39. The passages detail what some call the battle of armageddon or the war of Gog and Magog. Jesus addresses many issues with every word He speaks.

Mat 5:18 KJV
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Gen 6:10-13 KJV
And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (11) The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. (12) And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. (13) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

We have a very good reason for pointing all this out. There are passages found in scripture such as Genesis chapters 5 and 10, Chronicles and Kings where genealogical and historical information is shared with us. To some these genealogoical listings may be dull and lack excitement. However if you are a follower of events in the middle east then you know that there are nations and empires of biblical history in addition to the rest of the world to include the United States that are suffering from the perplexity that only Jesus could declare over 2000 years ago. Most importantly only Jesus will be able to get us out of this mess. As these words flow to this page we have a situation in the nation of Syria where chemical and biological weapons are being used as a tool to thwart any outside interventions from other countries.

Eze 38:1-13 KJVAnd the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, (2) Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, (3) And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: (4) And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: (5) Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: (6) Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (7) Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. (8) After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. (9) Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. (10) Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: (11) And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, (12) To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. (13) Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

The nations and countries listed in this portion of Ezekiel's prophecies are who we will explore in the progression of our studies. In addition to who and where we will also look into some historical references that detail why we have the perplexity Jesus describes. As we progress with the alarm bells for the world there are some historical references we will explore briefly which relate the rise and fall of our early ancestors and their respective nations. There are approximately 3 sources we will use to do this. One source that is referenced in scripture although not to be confused with the Bible books is that of the book of Jashar. Another the Jewish historian Josephus from his work the Antiquities of the Jews. The last being the book of Jubilees.

1Co 10:1-11 KJV
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; (2) And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; (3) And did all eat the same spiritual meat; (4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. (5) But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. (6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. (7) Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. (8) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. (9) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. (10) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. (11) Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Thanks for Sharing a Word

God Bless
