Luk 22:23-44 KJV  And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.  (24)  And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.  (25)  And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.  (26)  But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.  (27)  For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.  (28)  Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.  (29)  And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;  (30)  That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  (31)  And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  (32)  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.  (33)  And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.  (34)  And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.  (35)  And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.  (36)  Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.  (37)  For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.  (38)  And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.  (39)  And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.  (40)  And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.  (41)  And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,  (42)  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.  (43)  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.  (44)  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Psa 102:1-28 KJV  A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.  (2)  Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.  (3)  For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.  (4)  My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.  (5)  By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.  (6)  I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.  (7)  I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.  (8)  Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.  (9)  For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,  (10)  Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.  (11)  My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.  (12)  But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.  (13)  Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.  (14)  For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.  (15)  So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.  (16)  When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.  (17)  He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.  (18)  This shall be written for the generationH1755 to comeH314: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.  (19)  For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;  (20)  To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;  (21)  To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;  (22)  When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.  (23)  He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.  (24)  I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.  (25)  Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.  (26)  They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:  (27)  But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.  (28)  The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

Well friends for those who are not familiar with these studies here is what they are about. These studies are based upon a word a Hebrew word that designates some very specific people on earth. A generation of people described as being the last generation to face the enemies of the east. Think about that the next time we see Iran rattling their war sabers in the middle east.

Our word “acharon”  does not always imply the definition above. It does have very prophetic qualities in many passages. Such as the one we are exploring today.

Psa 13:1-6 KJV  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?  (2)  How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?  (3)  Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;  (4)  Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.  (5)  But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.  (6)  I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

As we often have we can reach into the Psalms to find words of strength. We have explored how Daniel drew his strength from prayer and knowledge of the Psalms. They were required reading so to speak. Every prophet to include Jesus Himself spoke from the Psalms. The one we are exploring today is indicative of so so many passages that include desperation , judgment, redemption , protection and salvation and as we mentioned prophetic quality. These are just a few subjects the Psalms address we are not pretending that we stated them all here.

Psa 143:1-12 KJV  A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.  (2)  And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.  (3)  For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.  (4)  Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.  (5)  I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.  (6)  I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Job 34:29-32 KJV  When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:  (30)  That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.  (31)  Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:  (32)  That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

1Co 10:1-3 KJV  Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;  (2)  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;  (3)  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

1Co 10:4-5 KJV  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.  (5)  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

This is exactly how the Jewish people suffered at the hands of the Babylonians and the Romans. Also much of their existence in the 20th century after the restoration in 1948 has been dealing with wars and terror. In the forms of suicide bombings, shootings, knife attacks and the sort. As we progress through this Psalm its prophetic qualities will come through as well. Qualities that pertain to how Jesus felt upon the cross. 

Lam 1:8-13 KJV  Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.  (9)  Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.  (10)  The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.  (11)  All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.  (12)  Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.  (13)  From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.

Lam 3:1-13 KJV  I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.  (2)  He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.  (3)  Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.  (4)  My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.  (5)  He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.  (6)  He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.  (7)  He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.  (8)  Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.  (9)  He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.  (10)  He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.  (11)  He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.  (12)  He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.  (13)  He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.

Modern day examples of the reproach spoken of here would be when nations like Iran and the wannabe Palestinian state threaten to “wipe Israel off the map”. Calling Jewish people things like descendants of “apes and pigs”. Iran should be questioning where the protection of their “god” is right now in the middle of the world’s current pestilence. 

Israel has had to deal with 3 major wars since rebirthing in 1948. The 1st immediately after declaring statehood. The next 19 years later with the 6 day war of 1967. Then the Yom Kippur war in 1973. We also know that there have been many incursions on both sides of the fence but all caused by Israel’s enemies. We stand firm on that subject.

In addition to the taunting itself today we see there has always been a history of it in the Bible. Let’s see if we can find some examples. 

1Sa 17:1-10 KJV  Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.  (2)  And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.  (3)  And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.  (4)  And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.  (5)  And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.  (6)  And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.  (7)  And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.  (8)  And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.  (9)  If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.  (10)  And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.

1Sa 17:22-26 KJV  And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren.  (23)  And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.  (24)  And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.  (25)  And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.  (26)  And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

1Sa 17:42-51 KJV  And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.  (43)  And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.  (44)  And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.  (45)  Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.  (46)  This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  (47)  And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.  (48)  And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.  (49)  And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.  (50)  So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.  (51)  Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

Here was 1 good example of an enemy taunting Israel. Of course in a circumstance like this the Philistines were also taunting God as well. However it was not quite the direct shot the Assyrians were dumb enough to take at God. 

2Ki 18:17-37 KJV  And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.  (18)  And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.  (19)  And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?  (20)  Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?  (21)  Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.  (22)  But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?  (23)  Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.  (24)  How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?  (25)  Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.  (26)  Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.  (27)  But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?  (28)  Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:  (29)  Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:  (30)  Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.  (31)  Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:  (32)  Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.  (33)  Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?  (34)  Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?  (35)  Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?  (36)  But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.  (37)  Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Here is a direct slap at the Lord Himself in addition to Israel or should we say Judah. We know how this one turned out as well.

2Ki 19:15-37 KJV  And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.  (16)  LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.  (17)  Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,  (18)  And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.  (19)  Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.  (20)  Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.  (21)  This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.  (22)  Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.  (23)  By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.  (24)  I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.  (25)  Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.  (26)  Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.  (27)  But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.  (28)  Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.  (29)  And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.  (30)  And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.  (31)  For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.  (32)  Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.  (33)  By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.  (34)  For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.  (35)  And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.  (36)  So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.  (37)  And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

At this point the Psalm takes a very prophetic turn. It turns toward the positive and restoration. Notice the words used are set time. As we will continue to see the end time prophecies come into the picture.

There have been many set times in the realm of the Bible. Especially in the world of biblical prophecy you will find these. One good example would be when God announces to Abraham and Sarah they would be having a child.

The last generation of folks facing their enemies to the east. When we start adding all the prophecies up it looks like some sort of new birthing of the Persian empire possibly. This generation of folks will belong to the Lord and is created to praise Him. Well guess what friends we as Christians are those folks mentioned here. As we have mentioned over the years some conditions had to exist prophetically speaking for the Lord to return. Some of those are

1. Israel must be a nation
2. Jerusalem would have to be under Israeli control
3. A temple will have to be built at some point to house the antichrist the rapture may or may not precede this

As we like to point out when we visit this passage Jesus at this point in time leaves one thing from Isaiah out for now. That one thing being to declare the day of the Lord’s vengeance.

Psa 102:23-24 KJV  He weakened my strength in the wayH1870; he shortened my days.  (24)  I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

We see natural and spiritual circumstances taking place here within the Psalm. According to some commentaries here we are dealing with a Psalmist who is at near death. We see that too yet another thought popped into our heads here as we read this. Let’s start with a word study here.

If we look closely at our Hebrew and Greek words we have the exact same message being sent. Jesus’ way and this one as far as definitions go are exactly the same. 

Mat 26:26-29 KJV  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  (27)  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;  (28)  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.  (29)  But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

We would suggest this Psalm has a spiritually prophetic meaning associated to Jesus. It also blends right in to the other prophetic aspects we have mentioned that are involved in forming a people described here which will worship the Lord. 

Psa 102:25-28 KJV  Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.  (26)  They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:  (27)  But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.  (28)  The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

Well friends as we explored this Psalm regarding the last generation facing the east we discovered that this Psalm was very prophetic indeed. As we read and understand this world will pass away but the word of the Lord goes on forever. 

Luk 21:29-36 KJV  And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;  (30)  When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.  (31)  So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.  (32)  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  (33)  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.  (34)  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  (35)  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  (36)  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Mat 24:14 KJV  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Rev 22:16-21 KJV  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.  (17)  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.  (18)  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  (19)  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  (20)  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.  (21)  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
