Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Jerusalem the Burdensome Stone Isaiah 5:25-30 Exploring More Parallels

Jerusalem the Burdensome Stone
Isaiah 5:25-30
Exploring More Parallels

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

The Coming of the Son of Man

Mat 24:29-31 KJV  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  (30)  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  (31)  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Coming of the Son of Man

Luk 21:25-28 KJV  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  (26)  Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  (27)  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  (28)  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Hello again friends. We continue to move forward discovering patterns and parallels in prophecy. We have come to verse 25 of Isaiah 5. Again as a reminder this entire passage is known for being a woe to the wicked. As we have discovered there are many things which have been in the OT world for Israel. As we also have discovered just as the word tells us these things will repeat in the things which shall be. That of course a warning to Israel and the world of the NT.

In our particular set of circumstances we are focusing specifically on our nation here in America. We have listed many things which we are doing wrong as individuals (which very much includes yours truly) and as a nation. Let’s see what this next passage from Isaiah 5 can tell us about things having been for Judah and Jerusalem. We will probably explore some parallels and things which shall be as well. Let’s open the journey with a look at the last passage we explored.

Isa 5:19-24 KJV  That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!  (20)  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  (21)  Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!  (22)  Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:  (23)  Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!  (24)  Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Isa 5:25-30 KJV  Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.  (26)  And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:  (27)  None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:  (28)  Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:  (29)  Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.  (30)  And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Isa 5:25 KJV  Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

The anger of ABBA Father our Creator is a fascinating subject in and of itself. We have explored it in many of our journeys. This is a subject that goes all the way back to an incident which took place initially in heaven. That being the following passage.

The Woman and the Dragon

Rev 12:1-6 KJV  And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:  (2)  And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.  (3)  And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.  (4)  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.  (5)  And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.  (6)  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Satan Thrown Down to Earth

Rev 12:7-11 KJV  And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,  (8)  And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  (9)  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  (10)  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  (11)  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Rev 12:12-17 KJV  Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.  (13)  And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.  (14)  And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.  (15)  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.  (16)  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.  (17)  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Just as a point of interest we here at the ministry feel that this leads us to Genesis 1:1-2.

The Creation of the World

Gen 1:1-2 KJV  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  (2)  And the earth was without form, and void; and darknessH2822 was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

H2822
חֹשֶׁךְ
chôshek
kho-shek'
From H2821; the dark; hence (literally) darkness; figuratively misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness: - dark (-ness), night, obscurity.
Total KJV occurrences: 79

Notice anything interesting about the word study here? Everything that we associate with Satan is found in this word. Can you see any one positive definition coming out of this. Every word here is a collective for the word evil.

The Idols of Babylon and the One True God

Isa 46:1-7 KJV  Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.  (2)  They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.  (3)  Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:  (4)  And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.  (5)  To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?  (6)  They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.  (7)  They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

Isa 46:8-13 KJV  Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.  (9)  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,  (10)  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:  (11)  Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.  (12)  Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:  (13)  I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

The phrase “anger of the Lord” is found 32 times in scripture. They are all found in the OT. We will explore some things pertaining to this in the NT as well. As we explore we will discover that there are 2 predominate things that stand out. Those 2 being failure to listen to ABBA Father over something He commands directly as in the case of Moses in the following passage.

Exo 4:10-17 KJV  And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.  (11)  And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?  (12)  Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.  (13)  And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.  (14)  And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.  (15)  And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.  (16)  And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.  (17)  And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

Deu 6:12-17 KJV  Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.  (13)  Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.  (14)  Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;  (15)  (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.  (16)  Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.  (17)  Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

Psa 106:32-42 KJV  They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:  (33)  Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.  (34)  They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:  (35)  But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.  (36)  And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.  (37)  Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,  (38)  And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.  (39)  Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.  (40)  Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.  (41)  And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.  (42)  Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

The same types of things that were taking down Israel with ABBA Father for the most part are the exact same for the world and America as we have said and hopefully pointed out through these journeys. We have stated over the years many times how America is filling up with all kinds of false worship or in some cases no worship practices.

Let’s face it when a country like America has to declare Satanism a religion the world is getting toward its end of the age. Folks when we see the number of religions that operate here in America growing broader instead of more narrow that should be another sign of the times.
The Man of Lawlessness

2Th 2:1-6 KJV  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  (2)  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  (3)  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  (4)  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.  (5)  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  (6)  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

2Th 2:7-12 KJV  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  (8)  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  (9)  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  (10)  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  (11)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  (12)  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Isa 5:26 KJV  And he will lift up an ensignH5251to the nations from farH4480 H7350, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

This word can imply to a time way down the road from when it is written. Actually every definition here applies itself to prophecy. The fact that it was forecast long ago that something way far into the future was going to take place.

Well we would dare to say that was the rebirth of the nation of Israel 14 May 1948; Also as we have referenced many times over the years the retaking of Jerusalem in the 6 day war. Friends until the Jewish people starting coming back into this area it was not important to any one. The same can be said about Jerusalem. All of a sudden the Jewish people became the enemy because of certain Nazis who kept Hitler’s hatred alive with the Muslims. Would you say this small band of Nazis were successful.

The verse says that the enemies will come from the farthest parts of the earth. We have spent a good deal of time discussing the warfare involved here. Hopefully the passages may be getting as familiar for you as they have for us.

The Lord Judges the Nations

Joe 3:10-16 KJV  Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.  (11)  Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.  (12)  Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.  (13)  Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.  (14)  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.  (15)  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.  (16)  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Judgment on the Nations

Isa 34:1-8 KJV  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.  (2)  For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.  (3)  Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.  (4)  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.  (5)  For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.  (6)  The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.  (7)  And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.  (8)  For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

Prophecy Against Gog

Eze 38:8-12 KJV  After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.  (9)  Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.  (10)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:  (11)  And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,  (12)  To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Eze 39:1-8 KJV  Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  (2)  And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:  (3)  And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.  (4)  Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.  (5)  Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.  (6)  And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.  (7)  So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.  (8)  Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

Rev 16:12-16 KJV  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.  (13)  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  (14)  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  (15)  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.  (16)  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Rev 19:19-21 KJV  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.  (20)  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.  (21)  And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Isa 5:27 KJV  None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:

The Day of the Lord

Joe 2:1-8 KJV  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;  (2)  A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.  (3)  A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.  (4)  The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.  (5)  Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.  (6)  Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.  (7)  They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:  (8)  Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

Psa 18:30-39 KJV  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.  (31)  For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?  (32)  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.  (33)  He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.  (34)  He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.  (35)  Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.  (36)  Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.  (37)  I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.  (38)  I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.  (39)  For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

The Whole Armor of God

Eph 6:10-13 KJV  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  (11)  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  (12)  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  (13)  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14-20 KJV  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  (15)  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  (16)  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  (17)  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  (18)  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  (19)  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,  (20)  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Isa 5:28-29 KJV  Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:  (29)  Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.

Your Throne, O God, Is Forever

Psa 45:1-6 KJV  To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.  (2)  Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.  (3)  Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.  (4)  And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.  (5)  Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.  (6)  Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Deliver Me, O Lord

Isa 31:4-7 KJV  For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.  (5)  As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.  (6)  Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.  (7)  For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

The passage takes us all the way back to the last days of Jacob and the blessing of the 12 tribes.

Gen 49:9-12 KJV  Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?  (10)  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.  (11)  Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:  (12)  His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

Judgment on Edom

Jer 49:14-19 KJV  I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.  (15)  For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.  (16)  Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.  (17)  Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.  (18)  As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.  (19)  Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

Israel's Failure to Hear and See

Isa 42:18-25 KJV  Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.  (19)  Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD'S servant?  (20)  Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.  (21)  The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.  (22)  But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.  (23)  Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?  (24)  Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.  (25)  Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

We have been following patterns and parallels between the world which has been and the world which shall be. As we state in each one of these journeys starting from chapter 1 and moving forward we are repeating the same mistakes as then. We do not want to be considered among those described above failing to hear and to see.

The Leaven of the Pharisees and Herod

Mar 8:14-21 KJV  Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.  (15)  And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.  (16)  And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.  (17)  And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?  (18)  Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?  (19)  When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.  (20)  And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.  (21)  And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

Mat 14:13-21 KJV  When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.  (14)  And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.  (15)  And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.  (16)  But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.  (17)  And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.  (18)  He said, Bring them hither to me.  (19)  And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.  (20)  And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.  (21)  And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Isa 5:30 KJV  And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darknessH2822 and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

A few passages back we looked at a passage from Genesis 1. We explored a word that is used to describe earth in one manner as darkness.

Gen 1:1-2 KJV  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  (2)  And the earth was without form, and void; and darknessH2822 was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The Ninth Plague: Darkness

Exo 10:21-23 KJV  And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.  (22)  And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:  (23)  They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

The Lord Reigns

Psa 93:1-5 KJV  The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.  (2)  Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.  (3)  The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.  (4)  The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.  (5)  Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
Anguish over Judah's Desolation

Jer 4:23-28 KJV  I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.  (24)  I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.  (25)  I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.  (26)  I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.  (27)  For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.  (28)  For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

America exploring Bible prophecy we should expect this at some time in our history. We should be expecting it not too far down the road. The patterns and parallels are there. Something crazy every day now for us here in America.

For God So Loved the World

Joh 3:16-21 KJV  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (17)  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  (18)  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  (19)  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  (20)  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  (21)  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Rev 16:10-11 KJV  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,  (11)  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Rev 22:7 KJV  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

As always thanks for sharing a word
