Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Jerusalem The Burdensome Stone Isaiah 7:9 The Sign of Immanuel Are there Parallels Here for America

Jerusalem The Burdensome Stone
Isaiah 7:9 The Sign of Immanuel
Are there Parallels Here for America

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

The Sign of Jonah

Mat 12:38-42 KJV  Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.  (39)  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:  (40)  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  (41)  The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.  (42)  The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Jonah Flees the Presence of the Lord

Jon 1:1-6 KJV  Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,  (2)  Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.  (3)  But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.  (4)  But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.  (5)  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.  (6)  So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Jonah Is Thrown into the Sea

Jon 1:7-16 KJV  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.  (8)  Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?  (9)  And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.  (10)  Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.  (11)  Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.  (12)  And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.  (13)  Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.  (14)  Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.  (15)  So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.  (16)  Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

A Great Fish Swallows Jonah

Jon 1:17 KJV  Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Hello friends we are pushing forward with our burdensome stone journeys. We are beginning a look at the last half of the prophecy chapter 7. It concerns the sign of Immanuel. We explored the first passage from 2 different directions both true concerning standing before the enemy and parallels revolving around problems from within.

There are no doubt cells of terrorists here in America which have been here many years. We may start seeing factions that normally fight against each other banding together. There are a lot more folks here in America now that probably do not have our best wishes at heart. The spiritual greatness of all this is that Lord Yeshua/Jesus will triumph along with ABBA Father. Amen!

Now we are going to look at the sign of Jonah and what Lord Yeshua/Jesus was getting at.

The Sign of Immanuel

Isa 7:10-17 KJV  Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,  (11)  Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.  (12)  But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.  (13)  And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?  (14)  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.  (15)  Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.  (16)  For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.  (17)  The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

Isa 7:18-25 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.  (19)  And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.  (20)  In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.  (21)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;  (22)  And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.  (23)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.  (24)  With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.  (25)  And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

Isa 7:10-13 KJV  Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,  (11)  Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.  (12)  But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.  (13)  And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?

Ahaz was correct in his answer to not tempt ABBA Father.

Deu 6:16 KJV  Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

This history if you are not familiar is found in Exodus 17. The passage where Moses at ABBA Father’s command struck the rock.

Water from the Rock

Exo 17:1-7 KJV  And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.  (2)  Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?  (3)  And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?  (4)  And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.  (5)  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.  (6)  Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.  (7)  And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

Isa 7:14-17 KJV  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Let’s take verse 14 here and develop it a little bit in its flow with other prophecies.

Isa 7:14 KJV  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Here is a prophecy that comes along that takes us way back into the early days of Genesis.

Gen 3:14-15 KJV  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:  (15)  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The Branch of the Lord Glorified

Isa 4:2-6 KJV  In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.  (3)  And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:  (4)  When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.  (5)  And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.  (6)  And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Isa 8:7-8 KJV  Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:  (8)  And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

For to Us a Child Is Born

Isa 9:1-7 KJV  Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.  (2)  The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.  (3)  Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.  (4)  For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.  (5)  For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.  (6)  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  (7)  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isa 7:15-17 KJV  Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

Birth of Jesus Foretold

Luk 1:26-31 KJV  And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,  (27)  To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.  (28)  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.  (29)  And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.  (30)  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.  (31)  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Luk 1:32-38 KJV  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  (33)  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  (34)  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?  (35)  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.  (36)  And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  (37)  For with God nothing shall be impossible.  (38)  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Around this time of the year it’s not too unusual for many places of worship or families in general to revisit the birth of the Savior. We did not intend to be at this particular point in our studies this year. It seems ABBA Father arranged it as so. It is also important to remember such things.

The other part of what we are witnessing here is this comes with a warning at the same time concerning Ephraim and Assyria. We have been exploring patterns and parallels concerning America. The things having been for Israel becoming the things which shall be for Israel and the world.

Many problems start to arise with help among the tribes if Israel. It’s later on a couple of chapters that we get a description of the problems with the Philistines being described as the tail of the enemy. There we also see that Syria is the head of the enemy.

Judgment on Arrogance and Oppression

Isa 9:8-12 KJV  The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.  (9)  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,  (10)  The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.  (11)  Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;  (12)  The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isa 9:13-17 KJV  For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.  (14)  Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.  (15)  The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.  (16)  For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.  (17)  Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

We can honestly say this much friends. That Israel certainly has had its share of problems with these 2 factions until this very day and counting. So now we have seen the trouble being helped out by some from within the nation. We have been exploring such parallels for America.

The one thing we need to stress over and over friends is that in all these circumstances the return of The Lord and Savior Yeshua/Jesus follows close behind. We have posed the question over the last few months concerning America being ready for the Lord’s visitation.

Isa 7:18-20 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

According to most commentaries we are dealing with the armies of the respective nations Egypt and Assyria. The prophecy is stating that these nations would come against Judah. This would all take place prior to the birth of Lord Yeshua/Jesus.

The Assyrians most certainly did attack the promised land or some may say taken it siege.

They came in the form of Sennacherib Esarhaddon with regard to Assyria. The Egyptians attacked under Pharaoh-Neco. Then along came Nebuchadnezzar and attacked them all and overtook them.

Isa 7:20 KJV  In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.

The verse speaks many things and also provides a glimpse into the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Yeshua/Jesus. The act of shaving off a beard was to be symbolic to someone’s disgrace. We must remember what happened to our Lord and Savior Yeshua/Jesus.

Mat 12:39-42 KJV  But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:  (40)  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

We have references to the nations of Egypt and Assyria. Lord Yeshua/Jesus gives reference to the city of Nineveh and also the queen of the south which we feel based on the prophecies of Daniel is Egypt.

Some scholars say it is Ethiopia which was just south of Egypt as in that day. Other scholars suggest that it is Sheba from the Arabian Peninsula area.

The passage connects fact that Jonah warned Nineveh about its doom and Nineveh listened. Lord Yeshua implies here that the same Nineveh will sit in judgment of the generation seeking the sign of our Lord and Savior.

There are references to the shaving of beards mentioned by Isaiah. This also has connections to the indignity suffered by our Lord and Savior Yeshua/Jesus.

Isa 50:6 KJV  I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

What we are trying to say here is that something suffered by one man our Lord and Savior Yeshua becomes problematic for the entire world. It certainly became problematic for Judah and Israel back in the day so to speak. The situation for Israel is exactly as foretold then as it is now. Israel is still under attack from both directions north and south. They are also under attack from Syria in the north today as well as Gaza and other areas controlled by the Palestinians.

Isa 7:21-23 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;  (22)  And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.  (23)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.

The 3 verses center around 1 subject. That being that there are not many people around. This is not a positive prophetic forecast for the nation. As we go through these journeys we must remember that 1 predominate subject sticks out. The downfall of a nation by a systematic process. Not many people left in the nation of Israel then.

We have been and still are exploring parallels. The parallels involving things which have been for Israel. The things which shall be for Israel and the world. In our case more specifically America. Let’s briefly list a few verses we feel strongly present America’s situation with ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua/Jesus.

Isa 1:7 KJV  Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

Isa 1:21-23 KJV  How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.  (22)  Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:  (23)  Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

This verse explains the situation for America and the burning cities. It explains our political people as well as the money becoming worthless. Oh yeah, we can always throw in a shout out for all the violence.

Isa 2:6-9 KJV  Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.  (7)  Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:  (8)  Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:  (9)  And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

America has become full of eastern religious practices. We would call these false religion. The land is full of money as we mentioned concerning the preceding passage above. We call it inflation here in America. The idols which we in America call statues or even monuments. They are evil for what they represent. In short greed.

Isa 3:1-4 KJV  For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,  (2)  The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,  (3)  The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.  (4)  And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

This passage was particularly alarming as we explored the parallels that it puts forth. The disappearance of the Holy Spirit. Then every part of society that control what is going on in the nation. As we stated in chapter 3 all of these men and people are disappearing from America 1 after another.

In chapter 4 we see the glorification of Lord Yeshua/Jesus. This is also a pattern we see in all of these chapters and passages from Isaiah. There is always a remnant in spite of the prophetic consequences.

We also explored the parable of the vineyard in chapter 5. We looked at how we have a ruling class for the first time in America. We explored how certain leaders are beginning to act like life is a party while most Americans are suffering. Oh yeah 1 more thing how we can expect to see some terrible things here in America. This brought us here to our current journeys into Isaiah 7.

Isa 7:24-25 KJV  With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.  (25)  And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

This passage once again stresses the desolation caused by the Assyrian invasion. Again we also know that Egypt was involved here as well. In the end result however it was the Babylonians that conquered and plundered Judah and Jerusalem. We know of course that this was just the first of 2 times this would happen to the province of Judah and city of Jerusalem.

Seventy Years of Captivity

Jer 25:1-6 KJV  The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;  (2)  The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,  (3)  From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.  (4)  And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.  (5)  They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:  (6)  And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.

Jer 25:7-14 KJV  Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.  (8)  Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,  (9)  Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.  (10)  Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.  (11)  And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.  (12)  And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.  (13)  And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.  (14)  For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

The Cup of the Lord's Wrath

Jer 25:15-27 KJV  For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.  (16)  And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.  (17)  Then took I the cup at the LORD'S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me:  (18)  To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;  (19)  Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;  (20)  And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,  (21)  Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon,  (22)  And all the kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles which are beyond the sea,  (23)  Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that are in the utmost corners,  (24)  And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,  (25)  And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,  (26)  And all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.  (27)  Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

Of course the temple did fall along with Judah and Jerusalem to the Romans in 70 AD.

Jesus Foretells Destruction of Jerusalem

Luk 21:20-24 KJV  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.  (21)  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.  (22)  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.  (23)  But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.  (24)  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

However as we have covered dozens of times here in our journeys there was a remnant that returned. Friends something we have been exploring along the way is how all this touches America today. We have detailed since we began in Isaiah 1 that the things we see in Jerusalem the burdensome stone is also being seen in not so new ways around the world and for our purposes America.

Lord Yeshua/Jesus warns us in the following about a divided kingdom.

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit

Mat 12:22-32 KJV  Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.  (23)  And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?  (24)  But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.  (25)  And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:  (26)  And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?  (27)  And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.  (28)  But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.  (29)  Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.  (30)  He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.  (31)  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.  (32)  And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Our world today just as predicted is undergoing the same type of warning that Jonah was sent to give Nineveh. Unfortunately here in America we are not listening to Lord Yeshua/Jesus’ calls. This preacher understands this fully. I have also quit listening for a very long period of time. However once the hunger for the word was initiated it took me over completely.

Rom 12:1-2 KJV  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  (2)  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Mat 24:42-51 KJV  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  (43)  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  (44)  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  (45)  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  (46)  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.  (47)  Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.  (48)  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;  (49)  And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;  (50)  The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,  (51)  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

No One Knows That Day or Hour

Mar 13:32-37 KJV  But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  (33)  Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  (34)  For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  (35)  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  (36)  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  (37)  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-9 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.  (8)  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.  (9)  I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

As always thanks for sharing a word
