Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Jerusalem the Burdensome Stone Isaiah 10 the Lord’s Plans for Assyria

Jerusalem the Burdensome Stone
Isaiah 10 the Lord’s Plans for Assyria
Visitations Then and Now

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:15 KJV  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Signs of the End of the Age

Mat 24:3-5 KJV  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?  (4)  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  (5)  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

Luk 19:41-44 KJV  And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  (42)  Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.  (43)  For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  (44)  And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Hello again friends. We are getting back into the book of Isaiah in chapter 10. In our last look at these prophecies the emphasis had been placed on Ephraim and Manasseh. We were talking about leaders who would deceive the masses for lack of a better word. Leading them into sin what we could call bad shepherds.

Isa 10:1-4 KJV  Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;  (2)  To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!  (3)  And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?  (4)  Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

This passage finishes out what we explored in our last go round. The day of visitation is mentioned here by ABBA Father. We are currently exploring those in a another set of studies. However as we just read the invasion of Assyria is seen as a visitation upon the northern 10 tribes. Their capital city being Samaria.

Judgment on Arrogant Assyria

Isa 10:5-11 KJV  O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.  (6)  I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.  (7)  Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.  (8)  For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?  (9)  Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?  (10)  As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;  (11)  Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

This passage relays the punishment the northern tribes brought upon themselves. The Assyrian empire was allowed by ABBA Father to invade the northern tribes and exile them. The Assyrians bring in replacements for the people they exile.

2Ki 17:1-5 KJV  In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.  (2)  And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.  (3)  Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.  (4)  And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.  (5)  Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
The Fall of Israel

2Ki 17:6 KJV  In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

Exile Because of Idolatry

2Ki 17:7-9 KJV  For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,  (8)  And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.  (9)  And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

2Ki 17:10-13 KJV  And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:  (11)  And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:  (12)  For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.  (13)  Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

2Ki 17:14-18 KJV  Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.  (15)  And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.  (16)  And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.  (17)  And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.  (18)  Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

2Ki 17:19-23 KJV  Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.  (20)  And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.  (21)  For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.  (22)  For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;  (23)  Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.

Assyria Resettles Samaria

2Ki 17:24-26 KJV  And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.  (25)  And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them.  (26)  Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.

The invaders of the northern tribes paid no heed to the God of the Israelites. ABBA Father showed them what He was all about. He sent the lions in to take out those peoples that had replaced those of the Israelites. This is a good example for the world today as well. Reason being a person cannot take a little bit of this religion and a little bit of those religions and mix it all up. This is not a good way to find ABBA Father. The only Way is His Son Lord Yeshua/Jesus.

Isa 10:12-15 KJV  Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.  (13)  For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:  (14)  And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.  (15)  Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

The passage describes a scenario which we have explored a lot over the years. The rise and fall of leaders and kingdoms. ABBA Father uses empires and kingdoms to come against His people. However as always happens these empires over step their power given by ABBA Father. One other thing we will mention for now is that the cockiness of Sennacherib is his downfall. Nebuchadnezzar had the same basic issue.

As we explored heavily in our looks into Daniel each successive empire swallows up its predecessor. This is one method ABBA Father used to bring both judgment against Israel and Judah in addition punishing the punisher. In doing so basically controlling the world.

Daniel Interprets the Dream

Dan 2:36-45 KJV  This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.  (37)  Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.  (38)  And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.  (39)  And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.  (40)  And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.  (41)  And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.  (42)  And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.  (43)  And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.  (44)  And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.  (45)  Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

In case you are not familiar these descriptions represented the following list of empires.
Babylon
Media-Persia
Greece
Rome
The final still a mystery perhaps

As we see each kingdom swallowed up that which was before it. In the case of Daniel here there were 2 empires  that controlled ABBA Father’s people prior to Babylon. Those were Egypt and Assyria. Oh by the way that final kingdom that breaks all others is our Lord Yeshua/Jesus’.

Isa 10:16-19 KJV  Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.  (17)  And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;  (18)  And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.  (19)  And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

You may disagree but we here at the ministry feel that this is a reference to something farther into the prophetic time frame. Why do we feel that way brother Al? Mainly when we see words capitalized like Holy One it is usually a reference to our Lord Yeshua/Jesus. It also calls to mind something from the book of Revelation.

Isa 60:18-22 KJV  Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.  (19)  The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.  (20)  Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.  (21)  Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.  (22)  A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

Psa 84:9-12 KJV  Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.  (10)  For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.  (11)  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.  (12)  O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Rev 20:7-10 KJV  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,  (8)  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.  (9)  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.  (10)  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The River of Life

Rev 22:1-5 KJV  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.  (2)  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  (3)  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:  (4)  And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.  (5)  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

The Remnant of Israel Will Return

Isa 10:20-23 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.  (21)  The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.  (22)  For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumptionH3631decreed shall overflow with righteousness.  (23)  For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumptionH3617, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

H3631
כִּלָּיוֹן
killâyôn
kil-law-yone'
From H3615; pining, destruction: - consumption, failing.
Total KJV occurrences: 2

Ironically the only other use of this particular Hebrew word we found was in Deuteronomy 28. The passage concerning curses for disobedience which we have been exploring as of late.

Deu 28:63-65 KJV  And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.  (64)  And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.  (65)  And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failingH3631of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

Do you believe that Americans are grateful enough that we have never experienced this type of punishment from ABBA Father.

Isa 10:24-27 KJV  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.  (25)  For yet a very little while, and the indignationH2195shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.  (26)  And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.  (27)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

H2195
זַעַם
za‛am
zah'-am
From H2194; strictly froth at the mouth, that is, (figuratively) fury (especially of God’s displeasure with sin): - angry, indignation, rage.
Total KJV occurrences: 22

ABBA Father tells His people that this oppression would be short lived. He also states that the punishment He has in mind for the Assyrians would match that of some things He did during the time of the judges. One thought this brings to mind is how long is a little while with ABBA Father? As we read the scriptures we realize that generally speaking it seems a little longer to us humans.

One thing we will point out about the history surrounding the Assyrian empire. That it was began by a son of Shem named Asshur.

Gen 10:8-12 KJV  And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.  (9)  He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.  (10)  And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.  (11)  Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,  (12)  And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.

Gen 10:22 KJV  The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

Amazing that we all started out as cousins and now look at the hatred in this world. We really lost it with ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua/Jesus at this point did we not? There is a propensity to want to build cities in the early stages of our biblical history. It all starts with Cain. We will not fully develop this subject in this journey. So if you have ever wondered where the concept of a city came from it’s in this earliest history of the Bible.

Isa 10:28-32 KJV  He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:  (29)  They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.  (30)  Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.  (31)  Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.  (32)  As yet shall he remain at The Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

This passage describes the march of Sennacherib’s army.

The top right is the map which details most of the locations mentioned here in the passage. We will provide another map which details the conquests of Canaan in reference to the following.

Aiath is known by the following in scripture Hai,

Gen 12:7-8 KJV  And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.  (8)  And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and HaiH5857on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

Abram and Lot Separate

Gen 13:1-4 KJV  And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.  (2)  And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.  (3)  And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;  (4)  Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

Israel Defeated at Ai

Jos 7:1-2 KJV  But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.  (2)  And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Bethaven, on the east side of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed AiH5857.

Israel suffers a defeat in this case due to the taking of conquered spoils which ABBA Father had ordered the Israelites not to do.

Joshua does go on to come back and defeat the enemies in this territory. Remember they were defeated for an individual who coveted things that were spoils of war ABBA Father forbade them to have.

Isa 10:28 KJV  He is come to Aiath, he is passed to MigronH4051; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

The next city mentioned is Migron. Migron by this name is found only 2 times in our search. Jonathan son of Saul and his armor bearer by the hand of ABBA Father delivered an enormous defeat to the Philistines in this area.

1Sa 14:1-4 KJV  Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.  (2)  And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men;  (3)  And Ahiah, the son of Ahitub, Ichabod's brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the LORD'S priest in Shiloh, wearing an ephod. And the people knew not that Jonathan was gone.  (4)  And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

We are going to include a definition on the word precipice from Webster’s 1828 Dictionary.

Precipice
PREC'IPICE, n. [L. proecipitium, from proeceps, headlong; proe, forward, and ceps, for caput, head. See Chief.]

1. Strictly, a falling headlong; hence, a steep descent of land; a fall or descent of land, perpendicular or nearly so.

Where wealth, like fruit, on precipices grew.

2. A steep descent, in general.

In the breaking of the waves there is ever a precipice.

Swift down the precipice of time it goes.

The definition gives us a picture of this area where Jonathan gained his victory with the help of ABBA Father.

Isa 10:28 KJV  He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at MichmashH4363he hath laid up his carriages:

1Sa 14:31 KJV  And they smote the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon: and the people were very faint.

It is also mentioned in the return of the Hebrew people from Babylonian captivity.

This area is known for warfare. Warfare waged with the Philistines as we read earlier. We will look at some verses that pertain to the city.

2Sa 5:23-25 KJV  And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.  (24)  And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.  (25)  And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

The Bible tells us that it was a city belonging to the tribe of Benjamin.

1Ch 6:60 KJV  And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

Perhaps one of the most important verses pertaining to the city is found in the end tome prophecy of Zechariah 14.

Zec 14:9-13 KJV  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.  (10)  All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.  (11)  And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.  (12)  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.  (13)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

Isa 10:29 KJV  They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Ramah to this point is the city mentioned most in scripture with 36 appearances. It is most notable perhaps for being the birth place of Samuel the great prophet of ABBA Father.

1Sa 1:19-20 KJV  And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.  (20)  Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

1Sa 19:18-24 KJV  So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.  (19)  And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.  (20)  And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.  (21)  And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.  (22)  Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.  (23)  And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.  (24)  And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

Isa 10:29 KJV  They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Gibeah is essentially the same word for Geba they both carry the same definition. It’s most infamous history as far as scripture is concerned involved the concubine of a Levite.

Jdg 19:1-4 KJV  And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.  (2)  And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father's house to Bethlehemjudah, and was there four whole months.  (3)  And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.  (4)  And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.

Gibeah's Crime

Jdg 19:22-30 KJV  Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.  (23)  And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.  (24)  Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.  (25)  But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.  (26)  Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.  (27)  And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were upon the threshold.  (28)  And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.  (29)  And when he was come into his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.  (30)  And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds.

We have been exploring this situation a few times lately.

Isaiah Prophesies Sennacherib's Fall

2Ki 19:20-28 KJV  Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.  (21)  This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.  (22)  Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.  (23)  By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.  (24)  I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.  (25)  Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.  (26)  Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.  (27)  But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.  (28)  Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

2Ki 19:29-37 KJV  And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.  (30)  And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.  (31)  For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.  (32)  Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.  (33)  By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.  (34)  For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.  (35)  And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.  (36)  So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.  (37)  And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Well here is what we can say about what we have just explored. This whole passage of Isaiah 10 as with many in the Bible (both testaments) deals with leaders, locations, history and ABBA Father’s prophetic judgment. We even found a connection or 2 to Lord Yeshua/Jesus Himself. We also know that from some other prophecies we have explored that history will be repeating itself to a certain point.

The current Syrian leadership is just as morally corrupt as their ancient predecessors. We have mentioned this before in this set of journeys thus far in Isaiah. According to the prohecies we have explored there are basically 2 scenarios that could happen. We are thinking the rebirth of the Persian empire or possibly even Assyrian empire. Here is a cold hard fact they are already working together to take out Israel and the United States. They both have connections to ancient Babylon. In our opinion Iran is definitely the strongest of the 2 nations. They are both working with Russia and China to undermine the west.

Jesus Foretells Wars and Persecution

Luk 21:10-19 KJV  Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:  (11)  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.  (12)  But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.  (13)  And it shall turn to you for a testimony.  (14)  Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:  (15)  For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.  (16)  And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.  (17)  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.  (18)  But there shall not an hair of your head perish.  (19)  In your patience possess ye your souls.

The Coming of the Son of Man

Luk 21:25-28 KJV  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  (26)  Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  (27)  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  (28)  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Rev 22:7 KJV  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Rev 22:12-13 KJV  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  (13)  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Mic 7:7 KJV  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
