Welcome to the World of Biblical Prophecy for History and Today

This Blog is intended to help myself and others gain the best understanding of the world around us through exploration of prophetic scripture. The Bible is the text book. Through these studies we will hopefully provide understanding to both believer and unbeliever alike. The way our God and our Savior Jesus distinguish themselves in the spiritual world is through prophetic means. In other words what the Bible teaches us through fullfillment of these prophecies shows us the truth. Let's take some prophetic journeys through history and at the same time learn about the world around us today. Please try and be patient with any typographical errors as I am my own typist and my own research staff. Thanks

Mat 24:25 KJV  Behold, I have told you before. Revisiting Zechariah 12-14

Mat 24:25 KJV  Behold, I have told you before
Revisiting Zechariah 12-14
Zechariah 13

Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet

Psa 119:169-176 KJV  TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.  (170)  Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.  (171)  My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.  (172)  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.  (173)  Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.  (174)  I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.  (175)  Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.  (176)  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Ecc 1:9-11 KJV  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.  (10)  Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.  (11)  There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc 3:14-15 KJV  I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.  (15)  That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Ecc 3:16-17 KJV  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.  (17)  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

Mat 5:17-20 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.  (19)  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (20)  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:17 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The Example of Christ

Rom 15:1-7 KJV  We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  (2)  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.  (3)  For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.  (4)  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  (5)  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:  (6)  That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (7)  Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Rom 15:4 KJV  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Hello again Friends. We have been revisiting the passage of Zechariah chapters 12-14. We have completed 2 looks into chapter 12. This will be a summary of what we have explored so far. Then we will move forward with chapter 13. The funny part of doing things this way is discovering things or conveying things possibly you missed before.

The Lord Will Give Salvation

Zec 12:1-4 KJV  The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.  (2)  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.  (3)  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.  (4)  In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness
  1. The passage tells us who ABBA Father is in the sense of The Creator
  2. He tells us what He is going to do with His city of Jerusalem
  3. He tells us Jerusalem will become and already is the hottest piece of real estate on earth
  4. More specifically that the leaders of the world who want to tell Him what to do with His most personal piece of property will be destroyed
  5. The methods and delivery of warfare will not be able to function
  6. Since almost everything uses technology to see with we might have to consider the inability to rely on man made methods to deal with supernatural methods of ABBA Father and Lord Yeshua
  7. We often use the analogy of the Left Behind movie (speaking of the early original)where fighter planes lose their visibility, power and crash
As always we urge you to explore and come up with more things to this passage for now we will move forward.

Zec 12:5-9 KJV  And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.  (6)  In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.  (7)  The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.  (8)  In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.  (9)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
  1. The leaders of Jerusalem and Israel will be shepherds to the people of Israel
  2. All the nations that come to fight the battle will be destroyed
  3. The people of the areas around Judah or in other words not Jerusalem would be spared first
  4. ABBA Father Himself by His Son Lord Yeshua as we learn over the next 2 chapters will save JerusalemAll nations that come against Jerusalem in other words ABBA Father’s plan will be destroyed
  5. All nations that come against Jerusalem in other words ABBA Father’s plan will be destroyed
  6. This is pretty much to say the whole of the world
The world witnessed a precursor to these events October 7th 2023. Let’s hope and pray we are not around for the violence that the rest of our passage (chapters 12-14) describes to us.

Him Whom They Have Pierced

Zec 12:10-14 KJV  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.  (11)  In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.  (12)  And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;  (13)  The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;  (14)  All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
  1. Verse 10 tells us that the people of Jerusalem will have the spirit of grace and will look at ABBA Father and profess He does have a Son named Lord Yeshua
  2. In the light of acquiring this knowledge the people will profess Lord Yeshua
  3. We do not know for sure but this could have connections to the 144,000 Jews that will receive Lord Yeshua in Revelation 7
  4. We explored some of the passages pertaining to the history of Josiah and Megiddo
  5. We also looked at how the revelation of Lord Yeshua would trigger the mourning that comes when we find out we were wrong in our ways
  6. Last journey we explored how this mourning effect reminded us of our personal walk with Lord Yeshua and how we should work out our own salvation with fear and trembling in the book of Philippians
Now we will move forward with another look at Zechariah 13.

Zec 13:1 KJV  In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

Idolatry Cut Off

Zec 13:2-6 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.  (3)  And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.  (4)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:  (5)  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.  (6)  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

The Shepherd Struck

Zec 13:7-9 KJV  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.  (8)  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  (9)  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Zec 13:1 KJV  In that day there shall be a fountainH4726opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

There are places in scripture where this fountain is referred to. We will explore a couple of these.

Psa 36:6-9 KJV  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.  (7)  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.  (8)  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.  (9)  For with thee is the fountainH4726of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Pro 14:26-27 KJV  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.  (27)  The fear of the LORD is a fountainH4726of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Pro 16:20-22 KJV  He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.  (21)  The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.  (22)  Understanding is a wellspringH4726of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

Jer 17:13 KJV  O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountainH4726 of living waters.

Jesus and the Woman of Samaria

Joh 4:1-8 KJV  When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,  (2)  (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)  (3)  He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.  (4)  And he must needs go through Samaria.  (5)  Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.  (6)  Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.  (7)  There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.  (8)  (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

Joh 4:9-11 KJV  Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.  (10)  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.  (11)  The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

Although being a layman’s perspective this is a picture of our salvation with Lord Yeshua. Someone who the Jewish people would never be caught with being engaged by the Savior of the world. This makes me think of my Gentile salvation. Because Lord Yeshua was rejected He became the Savior for anyone that would accept Him.

Joh 4:12-14 KJV  Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?  (13)  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  (14)  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Rivers of Living Water

Joh 7:37-39 KJV  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.  (38)  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  (39)  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

It’s interesting that these events take place on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. It was a day in which the people came back out of their tabernacles or booths some may say. We will not take time to develop this but we will share it. The Feast of Tabernacles is when all the people retire into booths they have made at ABBA Father’s command. They go into these tabernacles for 7 days. On the 8th day they emerge for a public assembly. This all has spiritual parallels to the rapture. We did a very extensive study on the pre tribulation rapture. We wish to get around to some of the other theories regarding the rapture. The way the world has been turning it’s hard to get back there.

The New Heaven and the New Earth

Rev 21:1-4 KJV  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  (2)  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  (3)  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  (4)  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Rev 21:5-8 KJV  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.  (6)  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  (7)  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.  (8)  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

1. We have in the past explored some journeys into apparitions of Mary
2. The Marian movement as it is called has been coming for a long time now
3. We are not singling the catholic church out as many millions of people around the world have been part of these apparitions but we can see the idolatry in a present day perspective of these apparitions
4. Any one capable of reading this page should be able to search and see how many shrines with idols made in what something wants us to believe is Mary

We wanted to share these facts in order that we show you John Gill’s expository notes on this passage. They may seem critical but this will show you exactly how long this worship has gone on.

As you read what he has to say here remember he lived from 1697-1771.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts,.... In the latter day, at the time of the conversion of the Jews, when they shall turn to the Lord, and their sins shall be forgiven, and washed away in the fountain of his blood; for this refers not to the times of the Babylonish captivity, and their deliverance from that, which was now over, when idolatry ceased among that people; nor to the times of Christ, when soon after the false prophets among the Heathens, and their lying oracles, ceased, and Paganism in the Roman empire was destroyed; but to the times before mentioned, of which it is predicted by the Lord, saying,

that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered; meaning the idols of gold, silver, brass, and wood; images of the Virgin Mary, and saints departed, worshipped by the Papists, Rev_9:20 for at this time mystical Babylon will fall, the idolatry of the church of Rome will be at an end, and will never be revived more:

and also I will cause the prophets, and the unclean spirit, to pass out of the land; by "the prophets" are meant false prophets, as the Targum explains it, even all the Popish hierarchy, pope, cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, &c. all that wretched body, which goes by the name of the false prophet, who at the battle of Armageddon will be taken, and with the beast cast alive into the lake of fire, Rev_19:20 and by "the unclean spirit", or "spirits", the singular for the plural, are meant the three unclean spirits like frogs, and which are the spirits of devils, that come out of the mouth of the dragon beast, and false prophet, the Jesuits, monks, and friars; these shall be no more then on the earth, after these times, Rev_16:13. Jarchi and Kimchi interpret "the unclean spirit" of the corruption of nature; but that will not cease as long as men are in a mortal state. This prophecy is, by the ancient Jews, (p) applied to the times of the Messiah.

We are not singling these things out. Let’s explore some statistics regarding different religions of the world. We feel that if you look at the world regarding this subject it comes down to 2 big monotheistic religions. Judaism and Christianity have the same ABBA Father. Their big disagreement and it’s all the difference is salvation in Lord Yeshua. The reason we do not include Islam as a monotheistic religion is because we feel it is centered around an ancient moon deity that was involved in false worship over history. If certain religions are allowed to tell me ABBA Father has no son then I have the right to say what was just said.

As you can see there are many nations where the Christian religion is practiced. This does not mean we are all practicing the same Christianity however. In many Muslim nations people who are not practicing Muslims are considered Christians whether or not they are even religious. The number of nations that are practicing idolatry in their religion is astounding. Now some folks might say how do you define idolatry. Well let’s take a look

The following pictures come up when we do a search on Buddhism.

The Marian Movement

So now we ask how you define idolatry. This is taking place in one form or another in most nations on the earth. We did about 3 studies on apparitons of Mary. We would love to go back there again. In short wherever we see apparitions taking place there are shrines and idols and in many cases completely new cities or towns spring up around them. People especially elder people mostly women walk on their knees out of reverence to these idols and locations. We feel that these apparitions are the most dangerous to the world because an evil spirit if not the Devil himself is behind them.

Paul and the False Apostles

2Co 11:1-8 KJV  Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.  (2)  For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.  (3)  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  (4)  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.  (5)  For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.  (6)  But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.  (7)  Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?  (8)  I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

2Co 11:9-15 KJV  And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.  (10)  As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.  (11)  Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.  (12)  But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.  (13)  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  (14)  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  (15)  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

When it comes to biblical prophecy these apparitions are the most dangerous. They involve a would be impersonating of the mother of Lord Yeshua Mary.

Zec 13:4-6 KJV  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:  (5)  But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.  (6)  And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

1. That every would be prophet would be proven false or wrong of what they respectively profess
2.They will not receive the garments of the prophets such as Elijah  or John the Baptist
3.The prophet will renounce his calling to be a husbandman and will deny even having been one
4. We also see a type of our Messiah in verse 6 as well as allusions to Joseph being thrown in the well by his brethren and Lord Yeshua of course betrayed and abandoned by His people and He also received His wounds because of His own people

The Shepherd Struck

Zec 13:7-9 KJV  Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the manH1397that is my fellowH5997, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

5. The people and the babies or children were spared no mercy
6. Just as the prophesy stated 1/3 would be spared for a remnant and ABBA Father would hear their calling upon His name
7. The calls for a Jewish state began shorly before the 20th century began and indeed ABBA Father did hear their prayers and cries and restored them to prepeare for Lord Yeshua to return and rule

Friends what we are seeing in the nation of Israel right now with their enemies is a perfect preview of what we are exploring especially in the next chapter . We are moving toward the return of Lord Yeshua and He’s alive and well. He also is a king and coming back to conquer all those who wuld still reject Him.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

Mat 11:25-30 KJV  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.  (26)  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.  (27)  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.  (28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  (29)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  (30)  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Wait for the God of Salvation

Mic 7:1-7 KJV  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.  (2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.  (3)  That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.  (4)  The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.  (5)  Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.  (6)  For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.  (7)  Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

As always thanks for sharing a word
God Bless
