We left off in part 3 looking at the subject of sanctuary cities. We explored both what God intended these for and the modern cities here in America that claim such status. We will also in this segment of illegal immigration and the Bible see what an atrocity these cities have become and how far away we've managed to stray from God's intended meaning of these cities.

Keeping these passages close to our mind let's take a look at a few things concerning illegal immigrants and sanctuary cities.
Controversial incidents
In March 2008, Jamiel Shaw Jr., a high school athlete, was murdered in Los Angeles by Pedro Espinoza, an illegal immigrant gang member from MS 13, as he was walking home. It is believed that Espinoza mistook Shaw Jr. for a rival gang member. Espinoza's legal status was not checked even though he had been arrested for assault and was released a day before the murder according to Police Chief Officer William Bratton.[14] As a result of Jamiel Shaw Jr.'s death, a new ordinance is being proposed by family members that would allow police in the area to arrest suspected illegal immigrant gang members.[15] In May 2009, members of the Shaw family filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.[16]

LOS ANGELES -- A Los Angeles judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by the parents of a high school football star who had sued the sheriff's department for releasing from jail an illegal immigrant suspected of killing their son.
Shaw, a Los Angeles High School football player, was shot and killed in March 2008, allegedly by Pedro Espinoza, an alleged gang member who was in the country illegally
According to the lawsuit brought by his parents Jamiel and Anita, deputies negligently released Espinoza from jail on March 1, 2008, despite knowing he was "a dangerous felon and an immigration violator."
But Superior Court Judge Charles Palmer found Wednesday the law doesn't support the lawsuit.
In July 2008, a criminal gang member from MS 13 and illegal immigrant Edwin Ramos allegedly murdered Anthony Bologna and his two sons, Michael and Matthew, in broad daylight during a traffic altercation in San Francisco. Ramos was convicted of two felonies (including a gang-related assault of a young man aboard a bus and the attempted robbery of a pregnant woman) at the age of 17 years but was not reported to federal immigration authorities due to San Francisco's sanctuary city policy.[17][18] The city rejected any claims of liability and family members of the victims have filed a lawsuit as a result.[19]
In July 2008, a young woman was robbed and violently injured in San Francisco's wealthy Pacific Heights neighborhood by an illegal immigrant named Alexander Izaguirre. Before the incident, Izaguirre had pleaded guilty to selling cocaine in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood and was involved in previous purse-snatching crimes, but avoided jail due to his enrollment in a program called Back on Track, which is run by District Attorney Kamala Harris and provided training for jobs that Izaguirre could not legally hold.[20]
On July 31, 2008, 14-year-old Ivan Miranda was murdered and nearly decapitated in a sword attack in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood. Authorities arrested Rony Aguilera, known as "Guerrillero," in the attack and believe Aguilera is an illegal immigrant from Honduras. Aguilera had been arrested in 2007 in an assault case, but was never reported to federal immigration officials due to San Francisco's sanctuary policy.[21]
In October 2008, a drunken driver illegal immigrant, Salvador Vivas-Diaz, crashed his car against the police car of Phoenix, Arizona policeman Shane Figueroa which later resulted in Figueroa's death. Vivas-Diaz had four arrest warrants, a suspended driver’s license, had been charged with forgery and failure to return to court but he was never reported to federal immigration authorities due to Phoenix's former sanctuary city policy.[22]
On February 3, 2009 Francis Hernandez, an illegal immigrant, plowed into a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop in Denver, Colorado leaving three people dead and two injured. Hernandez had been arrested numerous times before but was never reported to federal immigration authorities due to Denver's sanctuary city policy.[19]
After the murder of a restaurant waitress in Albuquerque, New Mexico in late June 2009 suspected to be perpetrated by three illegal immigrants (one of whom was not deported despite being arrested for two prior DUI incidents), mayoral candidate Richard Berry decried the city's sanctuary city policy. He also vowed, if elected, to repeal the policy that has been continued by the incumbent mayor Martin Chavez.[24]
March 29, 2010 Robert Krentz, 58, a well-known southern Arizona rancher was found shot to death, along with his dog, shortly before midnight Saturday on his ranch, located 35 miles northeast of Douglas, KPHO said. According to media reports, he was reportedly murdered shortly after a confrontation with illegal immigrants. Krentz, was reportedly inducted into the Arizona Farming and Ranching Hall of Fame one year ago. He has served as president of the Cochise-Graham Cattlegrowers Association. This murder points to the need for stricter border patrols and an overhaul of the current immigration system. We can't sit and watch the drug wars in Mexico, coupled with the illegals sneaking across our borders. We have to act now and with force that this will not be tolerated.

Illegal Alien Killer of Mary Nagle Found Guilty on All Counts
On Wednesday, while the Senate was debating about which way to destroy the country, another tragedy due to Washington irresponsibility was being played out in a New York state courtroom, as one more murder by an illegal alien was tried.
The crime was brutally clear. It took jurors only 2 1/2 hours to find illegal alien Douglas Herrera guilty on all 15 counts of raping and murdering suburban mom Mary Nagle in her home. (See earlier Vdare account with photo here and local obituary.) Herrera had been hired to power-wash the deck of the Nagle home, but instead took the opportunity to attack and kill his employer.
There were tears in the eyes of some jurors, too, when medical examiner Lone Thanning provided them with a clinical but grisly account of the victim’s injuries. Nagle _ the mother of a 9-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy _ fought with her killer for at least 15 minutes, Thanning testified, and perhaps for as long as 30 minutes.
The killer inflicted “among the most horrific injuries I’ve ever seen,” Thanning said. The jurors passed a tissue box, while some members of the panel simply turned away from the crime scene photos. [Accused killer: I don't remember anything about that day, Newsday, 4/4/06]
After the rape and murder, Herrera used Mary Nagle’s cell phone to call her friends and family, including her sister, making lewd comments as he bragged about the crime.
The killer overstayed a 2001 tourist visa from Guatemala and possessed a California driver’s license. He reportedly will be sentenced in May to life in prison without parole.

Arrest Made In Deadly Attack On Two Nuns

KLAMATH FALLS - Police call it a heinous, sickening crime.
Two Bellevue nuns were raped and beaten in Oregon over the weekend. One of them died.
The Klamath County Sheriff's office has arrested a transient who just rode into town last week by train. Maximilano Esparza is charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder, rape and kidnapping.
The District Attorney says the Esparza was drunk when he beat the women into submission so he could sexually assault them.
Investigators say Chaska and another nun were on a bike path just after midnight Sunday, reciting the Rosary, when they were approached by Esparza.
We reached Chaska's brother in North Dakota. He told us she would've seen it as an opportunity to help.
"I'm sure that's the first thing she thought of when she was approached," says James Chaska. "Here's somebody she could help. It's kinda what made her decide to be a nun. She saw so much injustice in the world and she decided being a nun would be the best way to help."
Chaska lived in Bellevue. Neighbors describe her and the second nun as having a strong faith, more conservative than mainstream Catholics.
They say others in the home seem to be students of the nuns who reach out to the neighborhood.
"There's a lot of children that live on this street," says Sirena Young. "If there's cars coming they swoop them out of the way. Help out neighbors by bringing them food or clothing."
Investigators say the women were in Klamath Falls doing missionary work.
Locals tell us they were in town for just a day, selling religious items outside a grocery store.
"We went to Albertsons and then we saw them out there and we asked them how long they'd be staying and they said they'd be going to Medford today and tomorrow they were going back to Washington," says a girl who met the nuns.
Instead, their Bellevue home is quiet, with friends saying they are mourning the loss of a dearly beloved sister - in peace.
Terry and Lisa Dilks of Urbandale, Iowa, who were murdered by two illegal aliens. Both perpetrators had previously been arrested on drug charges and turned over and subsequently released by federal immigration agents.
The 10 killed and 4 wounded victims of illegal alien Muslim fanatic and sniper John Lee Malvo.
Kimberley Hope who was killed while feeding her neighbor's dogs by illegal alien Daniel Gonzalez Berumen who simply wanted her car.
Vinessa Hoera was a young single mom, only 23, when she was kidnapped, raped and brutally murdered by an illegal alien from Guatemala.
Tracy Owen, a 23 year old, very pregnant woman of Nashville, who was murdered because a couple of drunk, illegal aliens thought they had struck her in a car-pedestrian traffic accident. In fact, they had not but shot her five times believing they had.
Norfolk Police Officer Sheila Herring who was shot by illegal alien Mario Roberto Keen as she responded to a disturbance at a sports bar. Keen had previously been sentenced to five years in prison in 1990 for selling cocaine and had been previously deported. Keen attempted to re-enter the United States in New York in 1997, but was reportedly barred from entering. Obviously, he found another way.
Officer Tony Zeppetella, 27, of the Oceanside, CA, police department, was murdered by illegal alien gang member Adrien George Camacho when he stopped him for a traffic violation. Camacho pulled out a gun and shot the officer. Camacho then pistol-whipped the injured officer before shooting him again, killing him with the officer's own gun. At the time, Camacho had a criminal history that includes five previous felony convictions had been previously deported several times
Fort Worth Officer Dwayne Freeto was killed by drunken driver while helping a stranded motorist. The speeding car struck Freeto's parked cruiser, causing it to burst into flames burning Officer Freeto to death.
Police Officer Brandon Winfield, a 12-year veteran on the Houston police force with five children who was killed by illegal alien Juan Leonardo Qunitero who had been previously deported for molesting a 12-year-old girl. Officer Winfield thought he was assisting a disabled motorist when he was murdered in cold blood.
